I absolutely LOVE this remake so far

Rain I mean Rei is so cute!! And Arashi is so. Freaking. Hot. 

Also, why r the names so similar just to confuse me lol (Rain=Rei, Sky=Kai) 

And Kai is also a cutie! The friendship between Rei/Rain and Kai/Sky is always fun to watch 

Also the OST is basically the same but in Japanese and it brought so much nostalgia TT

(Ok I have to stop comparing this with the Thai version lmao)

Same, but I'll give it a chance. It's ironic that the Japanese remake seems lighter than the Thai version - usually it's other way around.

Good to know!! I love learning random new words in different languages XD I’ve picked up so much Thai through these dramas lol

Desperately trying to keep up lol

I love Sammy but the over-acting is kinda annoying-

I like Hill’s friends, they’re fun

Also that confession was so overly complicated that it made me lol: 

Ter: “What about me?”

Hill: “When I want to be with someone, it can only be one reason”

Ter: “And that reason is…that feeling right?”

Hill: “If what you mean by that is ‘I like you’ then yes”

ep1 i loved it, i tend to love japanese bls with just few exceptions so im not surprised i love it,  Arashi is so hot i got distracted few times lol and Rei is adorable :D

i also wished its 2 eps per week, the wait is going to be a torture ;; <3

In my region the first really low daytime temps and snow is coming this week, so I'm ready to veg out with dramas! 

lol please don’t say the S word. In my area we also get a lot of snow. 

I literally did nothing but disassociate today so yeah it’s been good.

Apparently it's a Saturday series (?) not Sunday as MDL has it listed as.

I'm not going to be as objective as I thought I could about this remake. Plus it IS a Japanese production,  my least favorite of all Asian countries producing dramas.  

The Thai version builds a more dramatic story while giving the viewer details that add so much. EP 1 of the J-version feels much less dramatic and dynamic.

I like Arashi's character. But...I'm not so crazy about Rei's character. It's the same silly-ish style, but not as over-acted,  that I see in other J-dramas.  I can't put my finger on it rn, but he's just not cute in the way that Rain is cute. Plus Rain has a potty mouth that I love. He's got attitude along with the cuteness. I feel a lot more chemistry btw Payu & Rain then I do with this couple. 

It's very early days still, but tbh, I'm not quite as thrilled as I wished I was. But I'll stay tuned for more!!

 

I know what you mean I also found Rain to be a lot more bratty than Rei which I think he is more of the atypical airhead Japanese character. 

I do say that this made me really want to rewatch the original because LITA is so good and iconic.

I finally started Kidnap the series with Ohm & Leng and I finished episode 2. it has only been two episodes, but I already love their chemistry. It’s not what I thought the plot line was going to be for some strange reason. Not a bad thing though.  

The preview for episode three where they’re gonna confront the people that wanted Q dead and I’m assuming it’s because of his dad who is a cop. And then he shows up looking like a bad ass may I add? I’m so confused because this is not what I thought it was. I thought the main plot line was going to be like. Min was going to kidnap Q and that was it.  I did not know for some reason that he was trying to kill him first and now Q wants to hire him to fake kidnap him to get back at his dad. other than our main two falling in love I have no clue where the show is gonna go which is fun. 

The chemistry between the two main characters and it’s only been two episode is freaking fire like episode two was really good. Episode one was like kind of meh but two game changer
