Hello, SDLs :) This is Nienna and I'd like to join the Soundtrack Lovers Club. For those of you who don't know already, I have been listening to The Longest Day in Chang'an OST since 2019 and on the regular. A such, it's may fav.
A few of my favorite OSTs:
The Longest Day in Chang'an
Why? Liu Mei's voice, the adaptation of tang-era poetry to current era music. Also, skillfull use of various size drums and drumming to match the sub-theme of the series.
Six Flying Dragons
Why? The powerful instrumental pieces, and Lee Bong Guen's amazing Pansori vocals. I started learning about the types Pansori and the major story arcs. I don't speak, read or write Hangul, so I have to rely on English translations when I can find them
Three-Body
Why? Chen Xueran's compositions and voice (see his themesong "We Won't Be Falling Down" from the 2018 Chinese Series, Guardian). My preference for the soundtrack, like the series, is the Chinese version
There are aslo songs from OSTs that I love; sometimes it's diffcult to find these songs on itunes/imusic but, I don't give up looking ;)
Resurrection Door, from The Mystic Nine
Person by The Bedside from Eternal Love of Dream
Moonlight, from The Legend of Qin (aka Qin's Moon) (Yes, I love Tiger Hu's voice)
Blue Moon from The Tale of the Nine-Tailed1938
Who Am I? from Bad Guys: City of Evil
Close Your Eyes, from The Uncanny Counter
Title Song, from Nirvana In Fire
I'm also a Henry Huo fan.
Recently, I've been listening to OST songs from Liu Yu Ning and am becoming a fan.
