Just wanted to ask though since this is a gl drama club do the discussions mainly revolve around Asian dramas that are present on mydramalist or do you guys discuss wlw related shows or representation from other platforms or countries as well?

We discuss anything here! Of course, since we’re on MyDramaList, if we spend too much time on non-dramaland GLs, one of us might jump in to steer the conversation to dramaland. But so far that hasnt happened.  

Im also (slowly but surely) planning on putting together a discord that will be much more general sapphic media focused.

Its awesome to see queer actresses in queer roles!! i'm happy for Namtan :D

can i vent a little about something stupid?

it bothers me SO MUCH that, at least once a week, someone comments on the 23.5 page about gemfourth. its been announced for months that they won't be in it, and yet someone always comments. i know not everyone follows drama news as closely, but it just pisses me off that, even though we're getting 2 GL couples, someone always brings up BL.

at the same time, i'm so grateful for the cast change. the comment section was hell before the official announcement, and i can only imagine how much worse it would be right now.

that was it, sorry for the negativity lol

The earlier talk of queer women in dramaland had me going and updating and formatting my list, when I noticed something. Tastaxx's IG used to have pronouns (mers/hers) but they're not there anymore. Anyone know what happened? Like do those pronouns still apply? I've noticed a change in tone in the posts and aesthetics to a much more masculine vibe as well.

i agree. it's so irritating. them being in the show would've taken away so much from it, people really need to get over it and appreciate the fact we're getting multiple sapphic couples.

It's because a lot of those people don't actually care about queer representation. They care about attractive men and/or their biases.

i clearly remember the pronouns being there not long ago... not sure what happened either. guess we have to wait to see if there's a bio update anytime soon

we really dodged a bullet, didn't we? but it's still infuriating to see it continue to happen over and over. it's beyond my comprehension to see people be obsessed with bl but not even give gl a chance. and you're so right, it means so much to see multiple sapphic couples in 23.5. they just can't seem to understand that

EXACTLY!! how can people not see the problem with that?? makes me irrationally angry. i wouldn't mind seeing bl side couples in future gls if it wasn't for people like this. ugh
