I totally agree. It would be awful. I did see a mokona in one of the warehouse scenes though, so they didn't forget :)

I agree with everyone that YNSH was terrible. This is definitely a step in the right direction, but not a home run. Are there any CLAMP works that have been successfully turned into dramas?

this show is like so pointless im on 6 all it is is a mumbojumbo of random stuff they try so hard to make it seem mysterious but its just really lame the only good thing is the shopowner she at least portrays her role as a matter-of-fact-dont-really-care-abt-much role well

The drama version of xxxHolic is okey, but doesn't come near the manga. Still I somehow like Watanuki's portrayal. He is as pathetic as in the manga.

Bannie, true, but for Watanuki its not like that he is forced to change in the end. Yuuko chose him because he needed to change.

i dont know, i havent followed the characters so well. i dont even know what they are changing. i just think they are all weak and clueless.

There's not much character development in the drama. Maybe goldenseal is referring to the anime/manga. IMO, the drama is terrible. They spent a lot of time on set and costume production, and they've been able to portray the magic in a way that's not too cheesy or low budget, but the actual story/plot/character development has been a huge miss.
