Yang Se Jong,  Woo Do Hwan,  Lee Jun Ho, Lee Min Ho,  Ahn Hyo Seop,  Nana,  Jang Ki Yong,  Im Soo Hyang, Park Min Young , Cha Eun Woo- Their acting seems forced, disingenuous or unnatural.

I think as time has go on, they're not as popular as they used to be a decade ago though. But Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. It feels like they're always playing the same role, or that even when its different, they eventually don't know how to act differently for that role as episodes progress, making it feel the same anyway. Worse is that I find that "one" character type they each play annoying.

I started watching Lovely runner but didn't like the story line so left it. moreover, i dont really know the hype about byeon woo seok's character and the acting. Highly Over- rated man!

Lee Min ho, Kim Woo bin, Park Shin hye, Seo In guk at all beyond me why they´re celebrated so much they´re not that good, yes you can watch a few of their individual dramas, but that´s all.

I like Ji Chang Wook, but for me he is only a middle class actor, he is not the best but also not the wurst.

you speak facts. I don't get the hype either!

Gong Hyo Jin and Park Shin Hye. Their dramas are quite good, especially GHJ's dramas. She's really good at picking scripts that suit her, but her acting is not my favorite. PSH's acting is bland. It's not good, but it's not bad either. I even don't like her line at all. Also, she's bad at creating chemistry with actors.

Byeon woo seok. Don’t get me wrong he is talented but his acting is okay, just okay. Not bad but not too good, something between okayish and lowkey good. But i have seen people complaining about him not being on top 10/20 actors of all time, like chill?

Also i think the top 1 reason of people hyping him as an actor is his appearance, he is handsome and tall and muscular, and he is “manly” and “cute” and sometimes imaginary boyfriend of some delusional people.

still not bad tho, just should improve

Cha eun woo is really trying to improve and with every drama he is improving for better. Also as an idol he is perfect but as an actor he lacks passion and talent but he is really trying and improving and I appreciate that, it’s probably mostly his roles. Directors should give him more diverse and alive roles

I love reading discussion about overrated/underrated artists because it´s almost all the time more about beeing overappreciated/underappreciated artists by the general public.

I agree with some of the mentioned artists regarding the amount of main roles they get in comparision to some of their more seasoned and gifted colleagues. Many times I thought the supporting cast outshone the main leads - not only in korean shows.

In South Korea looks are important to get a main role. I live in germany. Here the looks are less important but they help too.

Regarding the sometimes expressionless acting / stiffness - I think that´s a cultural thing and just a different way to act. I have seen many spanish shows too and there it´s the polar opposite. They seem to overemote but I think it´s just how their culture is compared to mine.

Nevertheless, despite all these thoughts of mine there are still some actors who should improve.  IMO these would be: Cha Eun Woo (I like him but he can´t emote at all), Im Soo Hyang , Song Hye Kyo (I know, she is a legend somehow but I just find her boring), Park Shin Hye (feels always the same)

I forgot to mention that typecasting plays a big role too. I think that´s one reason why Cha Eun Woo  always plays the stoic calm ML. The same goes for Kim Young Dae (who can act if given the chance) and Jang Ki Yong (also good but very stoic roles).

I appreciate it if artists get the chance to show a wider range like f.e. Ji Chang Wook, Lee Jun Ho, Lee Jun Young or Lee Jae Wook. They nail every role.  I think Song Kang is very diverse too but he needs to step up in the comedy genre. And Lee Min Ho has also shown several times that he can act differnt from his four famous roles.

How can you call him overrated if you didn't even finish the drama he's in? Surely you need at least 2 pieces of evidence before rating their acting ability? I only heard the hype about the drama though maybe I'm not in the circles where they praise his acting.  On that note I thought Kim Hye-yoon was overrated until I saw her in Lovely Runner (noting I have seen her acting in Sky Castle & Extraordinary You where she was the same in both and annoying and not very good. I also note I've seen her in a variety show where she was also identical to her characters which really made me question her "acting") and was going to skip Lovely Runner because of her but I'm happy I checked it out as it was great.

I think Lee Min-ho is overrated but I still want to check out his current drama When the stars gossip.  I love Song Joong-ki, Ji Chang-wook, Park Seo-joon & Lee Jong-suk but I think they are limited in their acting if we want to talk range/diversity. My general list would be Kim Ji-hoon (Flower of Evil), Lee Dong-wook,  Hyun Bin, Jung Il-woo, So Ji-sub, Ok Taecyeon, Kim Bum, Ji Sung. Nam Joo-hyuk used to be on my list but he's improved a lot. I don't know whether to include Cha Eun-woo and even Kim Myung-soo as I think it's slightly well known that they are cuter than their acting abilities.

For females my list would be UEE, Bae Suzy, Song Hyo-kyo, Kim Tae-hee, IU, Gu Hye-sun, Moon Chae-won (I like her in Flower of Evil but she's the same in everything I've seen her in), Han So-hee, Nam Ji-hyun, Moon Geun-young, Seohyun (SNSD) & Yuri (SNSD).  Hwang Jung-eum & Jun Ji-hyun maybe a little, I find them a bit over the top, screechy & annoying. I'd add Kim So-hyun but I did like her in My Lovely Liar.

I think, looking at my list, a lot of actors I don't like are from older times when Kdramas were more simple. I feel like that's a good sign that all these new actors aren't just good looking but also really good at acting. Even the Kpop idols getting into acting these days seem to be quite good.
