Empress Ki    is the best korean palace drama out there.

Under the Queen's Umbrella    is pretty good too, and it's recent.

Dong Yi    is also fantastic, but cinematographic is a bit dated.

Queen Seon Duk    is excellent, but as with Dong Yi, it's a bit dated.

Worthwhile mention: The Last Empress     is a modern era palace drama, I found it to be great.

For a great palace drama experience, check out "Moon Embracing the Sun," "Empress Ki," or "Love in the Moonlight." These dramas offer compelling stories, strong characters, and intricate palace politics.
