Looking for an older show (2010s maybe) about a girl caring for her 3 younger siblings.
There is a boy who likes her but she is busy taking care of her younger siblings all by herself. I can’t recall the exact words but she tells her siblings that their parents love them and are not gone.
The boy (and maybe the teachers at the kids school) ask her why she doesn’t tell the kids the truth about their parents (the implication being that they are dead). She says that she is telling the kids what her parents told her to tell them.
SPOILER
A number of episodes in it turns out that her parents are not dead, they were just away to earn money and they come back to start taking care of their children again.
