Historical/Medical dramas always take a little longer to sub understandably.. I have seen ep 1 it was a bit convoluted but I like it .....so far so good.....maybe I can now put Dr Jin behind me *shudders*

neko dongsaeng, i completely agree with you here. I don't understand why the subs for this are taking so long to be put up. I figured it'd be the opposite, with LMH and all.

agree i thought with LMH the subbing would b faster but i guess its not the case xD
LOVED episode three, i can't wait for the fourth episode to be subbed..
School started on Monday here in norway so the dramatime I get here on forward is sadly limited...
Its 01.41 Am here, I have school tomorrow but the fourth episode has gotten my hopes up..
Too eager, don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight..

Haha, Loved the pants scene LMH Quote:''Oh Yeah, And Please cover your feet'' lol, It still has me laughing ^^
hmmm..this thing is not improving..the acting is bad and something is wrong with the music...did they saw the guy who directed The Legand is directing this? His budget must have shrunk alot.

i find historic drama to have rather slower start, i'll give this abit more time to strike something in my heart
yankumicho wrote: My review of Episode 3...*Even though this was an ‘okay’ episode, I still think that the drama could take a cliffhanger lesson from City Hunter’s later episodes. When I watched that drama, it made me sit there with my mouth gaped open at some of its cliffhangers.

That being said, I did particularly enjoy the story behind the King and the Princess/Queen. That relationship, to be honest, is the most intriguing at present. I’m really hoping that the other relationships can catch up to the pace of this one.

When ES pulled out the Hello Kitty mirror, I cracked up! I’m glad to see a sismance between her and the Queen, and I love the Queen’s sarcasm…strong female characters get too little credit these days, unfortunately.

I’m still looking forward to watching some more episodes, and I hope that the storylines become more solidified throughout. I do LOVE this drama, though.

I agree! The Queen and King are super interesting!!!

Also despite not being in love...I am 'in like' with the drama...so will give it a couple more episodes.

just finished with ep4 before ... and i'm still waiting for it to get more interesting .... some thoughts i have so far:
i gotta say i still dont like the king much, but i do like the queen alot ....
i actually like the main actress i actually find her abit enjoyable to watch ...
i am really hating the advisor ... i hope he just hurry up and die
i dont think the acting is that bad but i do think its the directing of the drama ... too much politics i need more action! and for the cartoon i actually enjoy it tho i know some ppl dont ....
I think going I'm slowly going from feeling "meh" to liking this drama. My favorite thing is probably the king and queen, both their individual characters and their story. Also loving the main villain (must watch more things that actor's been in). The superpowers are fairly interesting. Love, love, love the costumes. And though I at times find the lead female a little annoying, most of the time I love her. I really fell for her when she started asking to take vases and paintings xD Although I'm not exactly a fan of Lee Min Ho (except that he's so pretty), there's something about him that makes me wanna cheer for him, so I really hope he quickly grows into his character. He's not exactly BAD, just...a bit bland. He needs to shed his "cool guy" image and drown it. I think it was perfect in City Hunter, but here...he needs to let loose. Lastly, someone needs to have a little chat with the editing team. Or the director. Or probably both.

Nods*
Not bad acting at all times, just some uncomfortable moments that happen too often.
And the music is really not used properly.
The scenes are also put together in a strange way.
I mean they decided to use animation and although a poor choice to keep using it beyond the opening...at least stick to the same art style throughout.

I'm still curious to see how the plot will play out and if they at any point will explain WHERE THIS MAGIC IS COMING FROM???
Too many themes...

The king is a bit of a whimpy jerk but that makes him interesting. They hardly have conflicted pathetic characters who are trying to find themselves. The Queen straight up is awesome. I do adore her.

The advisor and the villians are so one dimensional and boring. And despite her problems with certain scenes (badly written badly directed ones) the main actress does attempt to make us like her...so I can't help but like her.

Despite all my problems with the show...I'm still 'in like' with it. I just want to know what they (the people behind the scenes, music, direction, writing) are playing at...surely they can't be THAT stupid. So Imma have some faith and see where it goes (pardon the lame wordplay).

This! I've seen a lot of comments about how people hate the king, but I love him because he's the most interesting character, for me. Despite having an old face, I totally buy that he's an immature 21 year old king floundering in his insanely shaky life role. And the queen with the 'tude is just...I just love her. So much.

No, it isn't... Have you seen "The Legend"? I had such a huge crush with his hair in that drama. It looked so silky and billowy...I'll stop now...lol

Stay away from RTP and DR. Jin...lol

When I started watching the drama, I thought I was watching Holy Pearl....no kidding. I was like "No!!! Where are the awesome special effects?" I'm kind of disappointed this is the same director from "The Legend".

And the "girl" looks like an ahjumma. Poor Lee Minho. I will try to sacrifice myself for him for now. But I make no promises...
not that i don't like lee junki but i'm glad they casted lee minho instead so i can see mh in saeguk wear... fits him so well :D
When Lee Min Ho was explaining his reason for becoming a royal guard, did anybody else want to reach into the screen and strangle the previous king?
when lee min ho is talking i get urges to reach into the screen but it has nothing to do with the other characters...... ahem....
