It was an awkward drama, but honestly I would have thought if he just died bleeding out on the ground it would've been better.. That was probably the saddest moment of it all really. They could've even had made the surgery seem like it had a better chance of success to increase the "gut-punch" at the end.
Overall I only rated it a 7, which is low for me. A lot of times even from ep. 3 I was like you and not sure if I should continue, and I agree it's really hard to shake that feeling because you feel like you drag yourself through dramas a bit...
For reference, prosopagnosia is stated when the presidents daughter first returns to the company (not sure which episode 11/12 at a pure guess), it is the stated reason she had rehabilitation and needs Maru to assist her.
