What the hell is this? Why do I feel like my patience level is starting to bug me (especially at ep 14)? Eun Gi became my most hated character for this drama, really! Even though I didn't like her old self that much but at least I liked her b**chy behavior, it became really hard for me to keep it up with this scardy cat character! I hate it to the core, everything about her is playing on my nerves, I don't feel at ease to see her going aroung like that.
She will remember, she won't remember, she will remember, she won't remember,... I think I should hold a flower and play that game!! Either you remember or you don't!! What's with changing behavior then coming back to normal after one night sleep? That's too freaking stupid! Ma Ru isn't helping either, his character began to make me feel annoyed too; so you want to make her strong then die?! You want to let her have Tae San then leave yourself to death? If that's the ending then everyone witness this: I will stop watching Asian Dramas for three months!! (A big sacrifice, I know). All I want to know is: how the hell is this going to end!!
Phew! I need to get my feelings straight in order to watch the remaining episodes.
No, no! Definitely no! You are not allowed to make such a promise about a drama ending, what if you have to stay away from dramaland for real?!! LoL, how come you lost it in there? You're supposed to let your critics die here, remember?
amrita828 wrote: Rou, let me lend you a sympathetic shoulder to cry in frustration on, but most of all and completely out of topic: your avatar is wonderful!!! :D
Thanks! You're always kind Rita :D
Btw, now I seriously came to your three weeks ago words.

Well, ep 14 was a bad episode so you have to be in a good mood to watch it because later on that mood is going to be messed up!

Well, I would make that sacrifice if this drama ended that way.
I just couldn't hold myself after watching those miserable events and plot changes :p
I finished ep 15-16 .
Finally, I saw some light at the end of ep 16 simply because I want to know what will Eun Gi do next, after all the b**ch is back.
Revenge!! (I am a big sucker of revenge btw), I want to see revenge that's why I am sort of disappointed at Eun Gi's reaction for now and awaiting for her actions next up.
On a side note, I went on comparing these two fake kisses expressions: I believe Ma Ru's look was more intensive.

Revenge can be a good plot line, however, don't you think exacting revenge from Ma Ru at this point would be beyond cruel and absurd? isn't it enough that she basically tried to kill him and herself in a twisted and insane buy two, pay one game? That chapter of her life should be finally closed, or we are going to run in circles here.
Even leaving aside the plot for a moment, ethically speaking if Eun Ki wants revenge from Ma Ru and acts on this, how is she any better than Jae Hee?
From a narrative point of view, a character should grow through his/her experiences. But up to now all Eun Ki has done is going from one extreme to the next and than back to square one. Never, not even once, has she reflected upon her own mistakes, and admitted part of the blame. Are we supposed to excuse her only because she suffered brain injuries which she has procured herself with the accident?
MaRu is clearly dedicated to martyrdom right now and won't tell her anything. On the contrary, I already see him accepting whatever comes his way, which makes me double mad since he has nothing more to atone when it comes to Eun Ki! Certainly not her stupid devotion for a death father who was a bastard while alive and with whom she never had such a rosy relashionship to begin with.
The reverse revenge doesn't work on a narrative level, because it makes the plot stagnate and doesn't on a moral one because I refuse to condone someone who is called honest by everyone, while in fact she isn't even capable of honesty towards herself.

While I have been enjoying this drama a bit more than you, I agree with your assessment here very much. There are only 4 episodes left and while I don't really see a happy ending in the offing, I really don't want all that time wasted on Eun Ki exacting revenge on Maru.
I have a feeling that is the route they will take though. :( Not happy about it.

Agree but I don't want Ma Ru to be forgiven like there was nothing; I told you I am a big sucker of revenge plots but in this drama a manipulative plot from Eun Gi is good enough for me.
Like you said, I am angry that Ma Ru is willing to accept anything that comes his way which is totally absurd, I want to see him suffer for Eun Gi (When she opened her eyes at the end I felt joy because now he's the one in love while she's planning on something). En Gi character never reached me so I want to see something from her in the next four episodes (though I doubt it).

Yes, I am having the same feeling about the ending; it would be a surprise if Ma Ru doesn't die that's why I am preparing myself for any type of scenario.

Like I said earlier in this thread. It will be a total plot twist and surprise to me if he lives.
LOL, Rou will be disappointed if there's no revenge and Jeanie and I will be if there's one. If we were the producers of this show, the writer would face a very nice dilemma now. ;)
By the way: if Eun Gi truly seeks revenge and MaRu dies in the end (as I believe he will), she will have to deal with the biggest remorse of her life. Unless, of course, she loses her memory for the 15th time and retires on Jeju to grow flowers, with Lawyer Park plucking off petals of daisies to decide whether he's really gay or not. :p

LMAO at all of that ^^^^ OMO...
I agree with both Jeanie and Rita. The revenge plot at this point of the drama is useless. How are they going to properly develop it in 4 episodes? If they wanted to do it that way, they should've done it when Eun Gi first found out about it, back in episode 6. Besides, I don't get why she freaked out to the point of trying to kill herself and Ma Ru in episode 9 (?), when she already knew everything he was telling him.
I don't dislike Eun Gi,but for me she is a badly written character, or a character too complex for me to get. She hates everyone but suddenly falls madly in love with Ma Ru (which I never saw happening, it was insta-love). She's toughest girl around but she still needs Ma Ru to save her. She finds out the truth about Ma Ru very early on but doesn't give a crap until he tells her the truth. She obsesses with Ma Ru and then tries to kill him when she confirms that he doesn't feel the same way about her. She hates her dad but then suddenly loves him. She begged Ma Ru to stay with her when lost his memory even if he treated her like crap but decides to get revenge when she gets her memory back, even if she knows he loves her now. Like I said, I really don't understand her! I don't think even the writer knows what to do with her.
As for Ma Ru............. he's a typical Edward Cullen. The only reason why I stand watching him is because Joong Ki is a really good actor (and good to the eyes too) and makes him slightly less pathetic.

Okay, I think I am the only positive creature in here because I think Ma Ru won't die at the end because it would be so predictable if he does plus revenge then death? That sounds very unlikely to happen because it would be to gloomy to watch and writers aren't that stupid so it's one of them or none of them (I am having this feeling that's none of them)
Although I don't think that Eun Gi will take the revenge road but I do believe that she won't keep calm since we all know her previous attitude.

Very well put, Becca. And believe me, it's not you who aren't able to read a complex character: Eun Gi IS a badly written character. And if I may, she is quite badly portrayed too. Mind you, I'm not saying this is the actress's fault, these are usually direction choices. Whatever it is, if you take the time and watch some episode stills you'll easily find out that she displays a couple of expressions only in the whole drama.
A complex character does not translate in the viewer not understanding. On the contrary, the complexity of it is in the way the viewer gets to the point while the fictional characters grope in the dark. This plot lingers on starry glances expecting us to feel something, but if we are supposed to feel for this totally irrational woman just because Ma Ru loves her, I'm afraid it failed big time, with me at least. In fact, it makes me dislike Ma Ru too, because I don't understand his reasons either. It already disturbed me that he came out of jail with too mild a change: a small spray of cinicism and that's it. I condoned the drama at that point because there was still plenty of time for development and character insight. But the whole time I have been left to wonder: what is his plan? Why doesn't he plan his revenge a little more, instead of just threatening left and right and "declaring" he's a badass, when all we see is a broken toy with a death wish?
Now it's too late to go in that direction. He's making the same mistake he did with Jae Hee: loving the wrong woman and wishing to protect her to the point of self-destruction.
Overall, what we have now is a serie of very unhealthy "love" connections. With the exception of Choco and the guy she's in love with, all those characters are screwed up, if not completely crazy. And while in real life crazy people do exist, having them all gathered in the same drama is beyond believable and truly annoying. Frankly, I couldn't care less how this ends. A tragic ending would be highly predictable, and a happy one wrapped up in the last minutes a surprising one, but unsatisfying nonetheless, because these people seem to have learnt nothing from their past experiences and run in circles like dogs biting their tails.
I think I must be a glutton for punishment. Or maybe just shallow enough that Song Joong Ki is too gorgeous to stop watching.
The only thing I am truly not liking about this show is Park Si Yeon. Her acting and her completely unbelievable character. Who, in true Korean Drama Fashion, will probably have little or no consequence for her actions or her CRAZY.

Btw Rita, I won't be disappointed if there won't be a revenge plot because my expectations for this drama are so low that I don't give a damn whether they satisfy me or not.

*sigh* Eun Gi is my most hated character in this drama and like Rita said it's very bad written that you get confused when you see her on screen.
As for me, I lost hope in that character long time ago so I wouldn't bother about her anymore only that I want to know what she will do next. However, I don't give a damn about her ending may she leave in misery for the rest of her life, that doesn't concern me anymore.

CS I told you to drop that positive thinking!! This drama is 99.99% a sad ending so don't get your hopes high because writers will play on viewers feelings by killing Ma Ru at the end.
You told me yoursel that Ma Ru's case remind you of "I'm Sorry I love You" and I believe you remember that ending :p
