Hello, I have read all old threads related to this theme, my hopes are that there have been relased one or two dramas like this after those posts or that someone may come and post some drama that didn't got mentioned earlier.

I want to watch something else with this specific set up. I would really prefer young characters, I would not like them too mature. No familiar dramas/no multi lead dramas/No long dramas.

I know this set up is quite unusual and there may be not so much more, so, I am open for recommendations that keep the female lead in a superior status than the male. Either because she is wealthier/higher in society, she has somehow authority over the male or just because she is a tsundere.

I have watched:

I do I do (maybe the worst overall)

Innocent Man (one of the best btw)

My Fair Lady

That Winter the Wind Blows (maybe the best overall)

Snow Queen (best ending)

Witch Yo Hee

A Witch's Love

Yong Pal

Hoo Goo's Love

Ms Temper and Nam Jung-Gi (Altough characters were a little old, it was refreshing and never felt too mature)

(I know, almost all of them lol)

I dropped: High Society, That Fool, I Love Lee Tae Ri.

Please! Post everything in your mind! I don't have drama to watch!!!

If you don't mind a drama from 2002, I recommend Ruler of Your Own World.

  • Angel eyes
  • Cloud Staircase
  • Stars lover
  • Green Rose - Though the MLbecame rich when he came back after being missing for years
  • Last minute Romance - technically the girl is rich so she was able to hire the guy
  • lovers in Prague - same age group as Winter The Wind Blows
  • Kahogo no Kahoko - japanese drama
  • Ugly Alert - i know you dont like long dramas with multiple couples, but this is totally worth it. The episode count is daunting, but this is one fo the best of this plot.

No, I don't mind, thanks. I didn't knew about this one, it definitely looks interesting!

Oh! Thanks! All recommendations are great. I wasn't expecting a J-Drama but it interests me!  Yes, it's said that Ugly Alert is worth it... I will try!

Really appreciate your help!

Definitely try Ugly Alert. it is one of the great family long dramas that is just so good to watch.
Also the japanese drama is quite unique and interesting.

A drama kept nagging at me after i finished posting my list. its the Japanese Drama Love of my Life or Tatta Hitotsu no Koi. One of a must watch from this type of plot.

And since you dont mind older dramas, check out:

  • Last Match (1996) - focused on friendship and college life, but the romance is really quite interesting between a well off girl opposite poor guy
  •  Breathless (2003) - like above, the girl is not super rich, but still relatively dirt poor compared to the dirt poor male lead
  • Mr. Duke (2000) - The male lead may look old and feel old. He looks to be entering his ahjusshi stage

You know? I dropped Tatta Hitotsu no Koi. It was good but I lost interest by the middle, because the girl had a weak/passive personality. I prefer when the girl packs wealth/power and agressiveness.

The oldest drama I have watched is What's Up Fox? (2006) and it was great! It'd be interesting to watch older dramas, I guess they were as high quality as today?

Thanks again! ^^

The only kdrama that has not been mentioned that I can think off will be:

  • Phoenix (it's similar to Green Rose which was recommended earlier, in that later on the ML becomes rich and the FL poor)

These ones are from other countries, if you're interested:

Couple or Trouble (the female is rich, but looses her memory and lives at the poor mans house)

Prosecutor Princess (she was spoiled by her rich parents and lives a rich live. But this drama is more about how she gets to be more down earth and humble, i guess. There are not exactly poor boys around her. They have normal jobs and money but not as much as her family.)

Ms. Perfect  (well somehow. It's more a Thriller and psychological drama but i really liked the acting of Jo Yeo Jung, the rich Lady)

Todome no Kiss (The poor host tries to get the rich girl)

Dal Ja's Spring (Because you liked What's up Fox?: Well she's not exactly rich but he is a poor student, so i guess that counts.)

Zenkai Girl (she has higher education and a higher social status than him)

Bijo to Danshi

Anego (Because you liked What's up Fox?)

Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu (if you like Anego you can try this)

Second Love

Kimi wa Petto
