I have no idea, but they seem to like it. LOL

I beg to differ..They "LOVE" it :D:D
The most annoying scene ever.

KARAOKE SCENES!!

I will skip every karaoke scenes. Who want to hear a drunk person singing?
Any scene that involves the bitchy love rival being all confrontational with the female lead and she just sits/stands there and takes it... She's either too nice or too ill informed to just haul off and smack the wench or at the very least interrupt her evil, cutting speech and say... "You're done here. Done listening to you now. See ya!" and walk away. Those scenes drive me insane. I think there's a difference between being a generally nice person and being a weak little doormat.

(That's why I really did like the scene in Lie to Me when Yoon Joo and Ah Jung are at the bar and Ah Jung doesn't cow tow to her, slams back her shot and leaves. And more importantly...she doesn't even let it affect her relationship to Ki Joon in anyway. Loved that!)
The noona from you're beautiful.... seriously, she should be more on Go Mi Nyu side than on Yo He Yi side (by the way, Yo He Yi is also an annoying character!)! And she always ends up giving important information about Go Mi Nyu! Not to mention she is always beating up the manager...
The sister from My Princess...

Yep, I can attest to that! I guess the key is having already watched variety shows with Hara in it. Like Unni, I can safely say that I'd have hated her character (most likely) if I hadn't known who she was prior to this show.

As for annoying characters, I can't stand Douchebag Dad from City Hunter...he goes from soft-talking to YELLING REALLY QUICKLY! Plus, he's psycho.

As I read the first part of your post I was thinking of that exact scene in LTM. I also LOVED the way she was unaffected by Yoon Joo. She could have just as easily pitied Yoon Joo cause she went through the same thing, but let's face. We're all humans. Very rarely is someone so unconditionally generous that they would give up their own happiness without trying or because they feel bad for someone. Ah Jung clearly stated that she did feel bad for Yoon Joo and she understood her, but not bad enough to give up on her own relationship. I love that about her character.
I know it's somehow rude to criticize customs, but I can't for the life of me stay calm at the general eating habits shown in dramas.
The sucking noise gives me goosebumps, not to mention talking with the mouth full for all the viewers to study in detail what's inside, or the character thrusting an entire chicken breast or whole pizza or a huge ladle of fried rice in the mouth.
I swear I have to use some yoga mantra or pause the video and go for a walk if I want to go on watching.

I enjoyed the drama "Pasta", but the female character had this habit of grabbing spaghetti with her hands and thrust them in the mouth, leaving them half hanging... aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry, it's really beyond bearable.

I find that highly disgusting too and a friend who's living in Japan has said the sucking noise does tend to happen a lot, but I wonder if that's really the way the majority of the people eat over there?

The sucking noise is considered a sign of appreciation for the food. Therefore, it's a true habit, not only in dramas.
I reassert that It's rude to criticize a custom, but I myself can't grow out of what has been basically drilled into my brain since I was a small kid: NEVER do noise while eating. Never eat with your mouth full!!!
So, although I'm ready to comform to any rule of the country I go to, this one would be a truly hard one, if not impossible, to abide to.
I think soup slurping is also supposed to be a way to cool down the soup you're consuming---why you just don't wait for the soup to cool down is beyond me.... But, yes, THANK YOU for bringing up the noisy eating. I thought it only bothered me since I've been told that I'm particularly sensitive to the sounds coming out of other people's mouths. I have a friend who chews gum like a cow chewing its cud, and I always refuse to give her a stick if she asks me.
I never carry more than one piece of gum for that same reason, I've always made that cow reference. I always said: Like a cow chewing grass on the prairie. Especially on an elevator and the person is really near you chewing like that. I tend to give people the evil eye, even when I'm not aware I'm doing it, if they eat/chew/slurp near me.
That other girl from Personal Taste. I don't even remember her name. lol
