I'm gonna watch this drama. And their rating in korea is on the top. :D
Just finished watching episode 4, and what can I say, I'm loving it

( To think I swore off airing dramas ;_; )

This drama just keeps on getting better and funnier with each passing episode! I love the lead girl (Who doesn't love a lead with backbone; they're few and hard to find XD ), Ji Sung is just love; one can't help but adore him <3 and JJ is just brilliant.
The chairman and Ji sung's relationship is too funny for words, and I just love their entire family dynamic ^o^

Another thing I liked is the fact that though usually the evil girls make me angry, or evoke all sorts of curses from me; this one (The adv director, Ji-sung's Ex) makes me laugh out loud! She's like a little immature kid XD

Come to think of it, all the lead characters are pretty childish; and I love it ^o^ (I can't help but laugh at Ji Sung and JJ's shoving matches XD )

I'll be looking forward to ep 5 ^^

To sum up the drama:
Funny :
Great Acting :
Music :
Addictive:

What more could one ask for? :P

Same here. I've already got Heartstrings (over this week), Myung Wol (so much real life drama) and Scent of Woman under my belt already. I'm itching to start this drama but I'm stopping myself for my own good.
On my part, I've dropped Heartstring and Myung Wol and taken up this one. Now I have one to get my hormones in turmoil - Scent of a Woman, and one to laugh like crazy - Protect the Boss.
I must say I'm pleasantly surprised about this drama, it's really funny and at the same time I've liked the characters at once. They are endearing and hilarious.
I'm very happy with this choice! :D

P.S. The music is a riot too. At times it feels like being catapulted into a mafia movie parody. LOL
i'm literally obsessed with this drama. I already cant wait to buy it on DVD=D Its frusterating to wait each week for new eps tho ahhhhhhh!

Hot kiss scene in episode 5.

I wouldn't call it a hot kiss...but they did kiss. :D
I think I'll watch this when my plan to watch list goes down XD And also when the episodes are finished airing and subbed; I absolutely hate waiting for an episode every week... it drives me nuts!
When 49 days came out I thought...will there be another drama out this year that can top this? When Greatest Love came out I thought can there be another drama that tops this? While watching City Hunter I thought...there will not be another drama this year that can top this. Now Protect The Boss and Scent of A Woman are out and I don't know...call it my obsession with Kdramas but these two are such great dramas....I don't think another drama will come along this year that can top these two. ;) :) OMO! I know, I'm hooked bad.

Protect the Boss achieves rating of 20.5%

wrote: Newly announced on SBS's Protect the boss twitter :X, episode 5 of the drama hit a rating of 20.5% in Seoul and 18.7% nation wide (according to AGB Nielsen), ranked number 1 among those dramas being broadcasted around the same time.
Within the first 5 episodes, PTB has achieved such a great success, being in the top ranks (even its reruns achieve the highest ratings).
"Protect The Boss" Quickly Surpasses "City Hunter" In Popularity

wrote: Recently airing its 5th episode, SBS romantic comedy drama "Protect The Boss" has quickly risen in the ratings, becoming one of this year's most popular dramas.

Unlike many dramas that slowly make their way to the top of the ratings, "Protect The Boss" has become one of the fastest dramas to ever rise close to the 20% mark in less than a month and rank no.1 for the night.

The drama has even surpassed the popularity of its predecessor "City Hunter" which took nearly 2 months before reaching no.1 in ratings, and is one of this year's highest rated dramas.

The only reason I haven't dropped Heartstrings is because of Jung YongHwa and Park Shin Hye, but I'm seriously reconsidering it....That being said....lol

Like you I have also found myself pleasantly surprised. I was going to give this drama a try and I was reluctant, but I'm glad I did give it a try. I'm in love with all characters. Well, the second lead lady and the cousin's mom are not included in that.

And I agree with the mafia movie parody...lol

This doesn't really surprise me. The drama has turned out great. :D

Well, you know, the second lead girl is actually quite atypical, I must confess I like her character, somehow. She's not taking herself too seriously, like most second bitchy ladies in K-dramas (well, she tries to be serious, but she fails, LOL). Truth be told, I find her just as funny as the rest, I just hope they are not going to turn her into another schizoid (see Mary Stayed Out) who's red one day, green another and finally yellow. :P
Her mother is unforgivable though. Yuk!!

By the way, I'm so happy the Grandmother is the same as in Coffee Prince. She provided some truly hilarious moments there and promises to do the same here. Love her! :D
