and OMO! The end in the snow was so sweet and also hilarious! I love that this show ended on this note that had me laughing!

...and also...I have to think about my review for a bit. This amazing show deserves a well written review. I don't want to mess it up and make someone turn away.
So am I the only one who thinks *of it as an open ending? After sleeping on it, I think there were too many fantastic elements in the story for me to believe in the ending à la "Scent of a Woman", another non-supernatural cancer drama. I like to think Kang Chil is being "rewarded" for making the right choices. I'm not talking about clearing his name and catching the real culprit (boy that Chang Gul bastard really deserved it), but for believing in people of this world, for choosing love and life over solitude and death. At one point, I thought all the fantastic aspect was Kang Chil and Gook Soo's imagination (now that's trippy), but the fact that Hyo Sook witnesses Gook Soo's wings refute it.* Damn, I can't get over the beauty of this drama.

I agree actually I felt the same way with Scent of a Woman. By doing good they get to live longer with their loved ones and not suffer as much from the pains of their cancer and the best deed of Kang Chil in my opinion was renewing Gook Soo's belief in miracles and giving him back his wings I really loved the ending scene and how it wasn't all tears but instead made me laugh and enjoy this drama for all the emotions it included and the brilliant actor's play who expressed them so well but to this day Jang Woo Sook looking like an ahjusshi is too weird for me, I'm used to his cool agent look from Athena and I'll probably always remember him that way

I think--> he's still going to die, just not as soon as he was diagnosed. At the end, when he was begging JiNa to let him go do what he wanted to do in the snow, if I'm not mistaken, she did say that he was very sick a few days before and that day was one of the days when he was actually feeling well. Which is why he says he only needs 3 minutes.

Like Jeanie->there was also a scene where I thought he was high from the morphine and I actually thought he was going to die that day, since he wasn't looking good.

Iron maiden, I agree->the ending gave me that Scent of a Woman ending feeling. Where each day alive and with their loved ones is considered a miracle in itself.
going to start ep. 15 now and i want to kill JiNa's father

Actually...Spoilery----->I disagree. Even with the supernatural elements I do not think Kang Chil will get a pass on his cancer and have his life prolonged. I think the ending scene was amazing and perfect. It showed us a moment. A joyful, hilarious moment of Kang Chil and Ji Na enjoying life and their love together. But as the scenes immediately before it showed, he's also in pain and he's going to die soon. I do think there is a wisp of an element of Scent of a Woman in that the emphasis is on his life instead of his pending death. In the same way Yoon Jae didn't have a clean bill of health but yet we were left with a hope and a feeling that what is more important is what she does while she is alive. Supernatural elements or not...In that they are alike. Padam Padam closed with the audience knowing Kang Chil was going to die but why show it? We all know that it's not the point. I very much agree with you! This show was amazing and beautifully done. <------ end spoiler
don't kill me for saying this..this is just my opinion but i honestly don't see any chemistry between KC and Ji Na..there's more chemistry between KC <-> Gook Soo, KC <-> Jung-ee, Gook Soo <-> Jung-ee <-> KC <-> Omma than the main leads ^_^

Well, I agree that there is tons of chemistry between Kang Chil and all of his family members. Tons of it! That is one of the very special things about this drama as a whole, the chemistry of the cast is palpable. But I do think Kang Chil and Ji Na have lots of chemistry. I can feel that too.

Oh my gooseee!!! Die!!! Just kidding....:p

As much as I started to dislike JiNa (we had a love-hate relationship...lol), I have to admit that I did see some chemistry, maybe not as strong as the others did with each other since -->I was kind of rooting for (and found myself more interested in what would happen between Hyo Sook and Gook Soo<-- but I feel they had some.

But yeah, all the side relationships were my favorite...jejeje
Damn you, hope killers! *I love how the ending was beautifully shot, but I can't help thinking the underlying message we get is unfair. Why save him from death 3 times, make him have a taste of family, love and friendship, to take it all back again with ****ing cancer? From this point of view, this reminds me of "49 days"... geez, I shouldn't argue. I already said one way or another, I'm happy with this so I should stick with it!*
Spoilery but not hope killing!!! ;)

I don't think it is hope killing at all. I feel like the end was beautiful, joyful and hopeful. Even with all the hardships Kang Chil went through he didn't give up on his life. He is fighting for hope, joy, love and happiness until his last breath! How many people can say the same?! Everyone dies but not a lot of people live their lives to the fullest as he is definitely doing. To say that he is going to die isn't a bad thing unless you want it to be because every human being suffers that fate one way or another! :)
Man I have to say I want a KC jr lol Even thought we don't get any of it , I do have to agree that the end was beautiful, I like the choice Gook Soo made , giving up his wings to stay with KC mother :D it made me smile that scene in the bedroom when she's like don't wake me up. I'm really sad that Jung was not KC biological son. But I'm going to keep giving myself the delusion that he was. I kind also though that it was king of Hope killer that after all those miracles they were letting cancer claim him. But then I also thought that at least he was really living his life to the fullest.
