People just want to believe what they want to believe. And even after everyone has explained the scene over and over and over again, they are still saying he is useless. I wish Jing had never arrived so they can see how that would have gone down. Jajaja

I think there were too many flaws in that scene and people love to pick at it since they already hate him. I think many people don't read the novel either so the drama kind of failed in nailing that scene. Some can only rely on what they see. I read the novel so I was also expecting more. It's like one of the most important scene in the drama and they botched it up. I feel bad for Deng Wei because people will keep comparing him to the other two and he'll probably be call the weakest link. His acting is not super on point yet but he improved alot. He is a newbie so I hope people can cut him some slack.

I only remember watching him in TTEOTM and I did not think highly of him there. However, I also learned from the comments in the drama thread that his scenes were greatly reduced there because of the rules China has imposed, so that could be one of the reasons why I didn't didn't find his memorable. I did like him in the past life though.  But he has already shown he has grown in  LYF. So, I think he will only get better as he gains more experience, so I hope people can cut him some slack also. I will watch some of his previous dramas when I feel motivated, even if I only end up watching his scenes.
