This is the great disconnect of LYF.  While XY is a PoV character, she doesn't share our experiences or expected reactions.  In dramas and we've been trained to believe love conquers all and it's priceless and worth fighting for.  XY, because she's so traumatized, doesn't even think it.  And XL just doesn't know better.  It's why I do so much yelling at my TV screen

And YES.  I love that FFB video.  Look at all his beautiful expressions.  sigh.

I do a lot of shaking my head and rolling my eyes when I watch LYF lol... I love that scene where he leans back and tells XY to feed him 💕
