NotGun:

this is very tame compared to addicted.  It doesnt have the same brutality that addicted does.  And what I was surprised at after watching the first 4 episodes and then reading the novel, was the big age gaps between the characters. And how after becoming the new Joe their ages became much closer, But Ming was still really young in the book 21 at the start (and I guessed about 22 in the series, but no way after watching the series did i think that Joe was in his 30's) Because the actors looked a similar age.

Thank you.  I read 2 volumes of Addicted and now less afraid to read this novel.

This will come off PG13 in comparison to Addicted.

For anyone who's read the novel, how do the NC scenes compare to the show? I haven't read a novel in a while in this genre, but for some reason I'm obsessed with this show. Just wondering if it's as steamy or more

More steamy. Especially when new Joe is under the 1 year contract with Ming. He is calling him over all the time.  So in the tv show they really toned it down to just pining for old Joe. In the novel he is venting his longing for OG Joe in the bedroom. So lots of NC scenes.
