ok so it's not really a Japanese movie, but it's starring Gackt, and the concept is based off of Japanese puppet theatre (which is called bunraku) sort of... the set design is really cool, it's sort of comic book-ish and sort of made to look like a stage set rather than a film set, which sounds cheesy and B-rate but it's actually really well done IMO.
Gackt is actually quite good in it.
story-wise I'd say it makes me think of Frank Miller meets Quentin Tarentino ... weird and kinda messed up, but good.
it's not a really fantastic movie but I'd say it's worth watching at least just to see Gackt swinging a sword around in kimono and speaking engrish <3
