not necessarily full on comedy, it just have to got good share of funny moments

The fiery priest is comic but has a strong plot. Life on mars has some comical aspects but has a really heavy plot. I enjoyed much both dramas

Don't know if you'd like the over-dramatic scenes where they try too hard to be like an anime, but I watched Shibatora. I liked the plot, and the unexpected comedy made it easier to get through the darker moments. However,  there is some questionable acting at times. >.<
