Hello everyone!

I would love to get recommendations on good netflix original shows to watch. They shouldn’t have over-the-top sexual content and def no to nudity. Also, should contain romance (doesn’t have to be the main aspect) I’ve already watched every Korean netflix original like love alarm and first first love, Triad Princess, and Anne with An E. Please recommend me only shows that you actually LOVED.

Thanks!

And, it should be netflix originals and non-Asian (i’ve already watched them so...)

Honestly, this sounds like a Romance is a Bonus Book situation. Not everyone loved it as much as I did, because really it's quite simple and sweet, with no melodrama really. But it's heartwarming and is a really nice story.

My Country: The New Age is fantastic, Jang Hyuk absolutely stole the show, plus Woo Do Hwan did amazing

I've heard amazing things about When the Camellia Blooms, and Chocolate and Crash Landing on You are both really good

Hello, cheshire unicorn!

To respond to your request, I'll share with you the following Netflix series that I and my siblings really enjoyed watching:

  1.   What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? - https://www.netflix.com/ph/title/81030241
  2.  The Light In Your Eyes - https://www.netflix.com/ph/title/81211166
  3.  Reply 1988 - https://www.netflix.com/title/80188351
  4.  Reply 1994 - https://www.netflix.com/title/80165487
  5.  Reply 1997 - https://www.netflix.com/title/70297144
  6.  Prison Playbook - https://www.netflix.com/title/80214406
  7.  Ms. Hammurabi - https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/81029971
  8.  Strong Girl Bong-soon - https://www.netflix.com/title/80198001
  9.  Goblin - https://www.netflix.com/ph/title/81012510
  10.  Pinocchio - https://www.netflix.com/ph/title/80999060

Most of them contain romance, although it's not central to the drama. Hope they're available in your region. Enjoy!

I second Prison Playbook  and Crashlanding on you, both of which I'm currently watching.

I also really liked My Country, but it's a whole different genre altogether (angsty sword wielding cute guys, can that be a genre? I enjoy it a lot) so I don't know if that's what you're looking for

Hello! I just finished A Little Thing Called First Love, it's a mandarin drama.. Really slowwww burn love because it spans from high school to university before our leads get together, but it's very realistic, light-hearted, funny at times and definitely heart warming!

Hello! Here are a few Netflix dramas and films I loved:

One Spring Night

(Simple and realistic love story, there aren't any fantasy elements, or cups of water being thrown in people's faces, no unnecessary drama, no over the top acting, no super rich people, no action scenes,  just day to day life, just ordinary people and palpable emotions, I loved the romance between a pharmacist and a librarian - I fell in love with them as well -  I really recommend this one! And just watching Jung Hae In is a real treat!)

Something in the Rain

(Same writer and same director as One Spring Night, it feels like a slice of life drama as well, but the romance is bit more dramatic, more melo, I think - there are a few frustrating misunderstandings, quite realistic, though. Totally worth a watch!  It is one of my favourites ever, I love the way they depicted  falling in love with someone.)

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

(Light, funny, sweet, upbeat. Park Hyung Sik is gorgeous in this.)

Tune in for Love

(A film that tells a love story over a period of about 10 years, from the mid nineties to the mid 00s. Music plays a big part in this. If you were born in the 80s you'll feel very nostalgic watching it.)

Us and Them

(Chinese film. I loved it so much, I've watched it more than once.  From Wikipedia: "The film explores the relationship between a man and a woman who share the same rural hometown and try to find fulfillment together in Beijing in the face of economic, social, familial, and romantic adversity. " Basically. youth dealing with the struggles of real life in the big city and trying to find happiness in the midst of hardship. Very well done, the locations, the acting... - it's very raw and moving.)

One More Time

(I didn't totally love this one at the beginning but, after a few episodes, everything starts to really make sense, and you understand why it had to be that way in the earlier episodes. What seemed to be a light and quite superficial drama, turned out to be quite deep, meaningful and memorable.)

I highly recommend: A love so beautiful and unrequited love, these are Chinese dramas but not very long and fluffy ?

I forgot to mention When the Camellia Blooms! Really good.

Surprised that no one mentioned "Memories of the Alhambra". That show was fantastic.
