Any drama where the lead has the habit of recording every important meeting?

Like, sometimes I feel dramaland still lives in the 80's and where nobody carries around a video/sound recording device, i.e a smartphone. Any drama where the lead is not an idiot or where the scriptwriter isn't over 30 and plot devices aren't outdated?
