The Romance of Tiger and Rose (literal gender and patriarchal reversal of societal norms)

can you tell me whether the dynamic of the main couple in this series is gender reversal or not? i get the girl's society is gender bend norms and the dude's isn't. but is their romance dynamic reversed  or traditional ?

These have those vibes, imo:

The drama is in two parts and she's single (with four guys in love with her) at the end of part 1 (the second part has not yet aired) but if it follows the book, she'll end up with the SML

Since I watched it, I'll answer... It's not RR ? They're very much still traditional (she spoils him sometimes but that's it, rlly). The RR aspect of the drama definitely comes mostly from the setting (matriarchy), not from the characters (with the exception of Su Mu. His relationship I'd say is more RR than the main couple but little screentime).

Don't know if these have been mentioned:

  • Across the Ocean to See You - role reversal where the FL is the cold CEO and the ML is the soft and sweet employee
  • Ye Cheng - another reversal of typical gender roles where the FL is the stronger one
  • Who Rules the World - both the FL and the ML are strong fighters but usually it's the FL who's stronger and saves the day, plus she has the tougher personality of the two
  • Meow: The Secret Boy - FL is a no-nonsense capable student while the ML is a soft goofy kitty boy.
  • Empress Ki - the ultimate girlboss who has multiple ML less powerful than her

+1 for Search: WWW, The Legends, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Romance of the Tiger and Rose, Kimi Wa Petto

Oh also I thought of:

  • The King's Affection - love this one. FL is the king haha and a cold aloof type while the ML is her tutor and is soft and sweet
  • She Would Never Know - new trainee ML falls for the competent, girlboss senior FL at the company
