shows where the antagonist/ villain in the story goes through ?character development and becomes a better person
  • Hello Monster - SML.
  • Secret - ML targets / takes revenge against the FL based on a misunderstanding, but later regrets his actions / refocuses his revenge on the actual guilty party.
  • The Romance of Tiger and Rose - The ML was supposed to be the villain of the story, but the FL changes his path.
  • Doom at Your Service - ML. Also the SFL appears to be the closest thing the drama has to a villain / antagonist (other than the ML and death) but in her mind she's trying to help the ML
  • True Beauty - SFL starts out quite heroic, then becomes quite villain-y, goes through some character growth and eventually becomes a better person.
  • The K2 - SFL villain / antagonist develops a soft spot for the ML.
  • Mr. Sunshine - SML always had a complicated relationship with the FL. He behaved like an antagonist but it seems like he was always ready to kill for her.  I feel like he sort of had some character growth in terms of his relationship with the SFL and choosing to cut ties with his Japanese connections to side with the FL / Korea.
  • The Crowned Clown - Lee Gyu is a complicated character. Not really a villain or an antagonist exactly, but he's harsh and not on the ML's side at first and he does some things that are borderline villain-y. He took his position with strong ideals and principles, but became pretty ruthless by the start of the drama / lost his way for a while. He goes through character growth and is reminded of his original principles.

Dramas where the antagonist / villain becomes or turns out to be one of the good guys (or does one big good thing), but it's not necessarily the result of character development:

  • Lost Love in Times - SML is an antagonist / villain in the original timeline. In the second timeline, he falls for and helps the FL.
  • Mr. Queen - One of the main antagonists / villains sacrifices his life to save the FL
  • Be Loved in House: I Do - ML's ex shows up and causes havoc. Turns out it was all a plan to help the ML move on and get together with the other ML.

Wow. Thanks a lot  :D
