Friends' Comments/Opinions filter

Overview:

Implementing a "Friends' Comments Filter" feature will allow users to filter and view comments made by their friends on various content across the platform. This includes dramas page , movies page, articles, custom lists, thread posts, thread comments, reviews, feeds , recommendation section and any other sections where comments/opinions are available.

1. User and Friends Only Options in Comment Sections:

• Provide "All Users" and "Friends Only" Options:
  • On the Drama page, Movies page, Articles, and Custom Lists page, introduce two visibility options for comments:
    • All Users: You can see the comments of all the users..
    • Friends Only: You can see only friend's Comments , providing a more private interaction space. and perspective.

2. Improved Search and Visibility for Friends' Posts and Comments:

• Make Friends' Thread Posts Searchable:

  • In the Recent Discussions section and Forum's Search Feature, add a filter to allow users to search for threads created by their friends. This will help users quickly find and engage with content shared by their friends.

• Make Friends' Comments Searchable:

  • Enable a filter to make friends' comments searchable in any thread, allowing users to easily locate and interact with comments made by their friends.

3. Enhanced Review Sorting Options:

• Add a "Friends" Sorting Option for Reviews:
  • Currently, reviews can be sorted by Recent and Helpful. Introduce a third sorting option, Friends, which allows users to view reviews written specifically by their friends, making it easier to see trusted opinions and recommendations.

4. Filtering Options in Feeds:

There is already a separate section/filter for friends' posts, so I will not talk about that.

• Filter Friends' Comments on Any Post:
  • Provide an option in the user feeds to filter and view only the comments made by their friends on any post. This will create a more personalized and engaging feed experience.

5. Filter Friends' Recommendations:

• Filter Friends' Recommendations in the Recommendation Section:
  • Add a filter in the recommendation section that allows users to view only the recommendations made by their friends. This will enable users to quickly find content that aligns with their friends' tastes and preferences.

Key Benefits

1. Personalized Content Discovery: Users can easily discover what their friends are discussing or recommending across different content, helping them find new interests or engage in shared discussions.

2. Strengthened Social Connections: By filtering comments to show only those from friends, users can feel more connected and involved in their friends' activities, making the platform more socially engaging.

3. Efficient Navigation: Users can quickly access and respond to their friends' comments without having to scroll through all comments, saving time and making interactions more meaningful.

4. See Opinions from Friends : see opinions from friends.They can enjoy sharing thoughts with their friends and value hearing their perspectives on various topics. 

5. Enhanced Credibility: It helps highlight content from users who have a proven track record or have been active for a long time, increasing the credibility and reliability of the information.
6. Reduced Spam/Troll and Misinformation: By prioritizing content from established users, the platform can minimize spam, bots, or malicious accounts, ensuring a healthier and more trustworthy community.

How It Works

• On any content page (e.g., drama, movie, article), users will have the option to enable the "Friends' Comment " filter.
• Once activated, the page will display only the comments made by the user's friends.
• The filter can be toggled on and off, allowing users to switch between viewing all comments or just those from their friends.
• An additional option can allow users to receive notifications or highlights when friends comment on content they are also interested in or in their watchlist.

Use Case Example

ex: Imagine a user visiting the page of a drama they are currently watching. By enabling the "Friends' Comment Filter," they can instantly see which of their friends have commented on that drama, providing insights into their friends' opinions and potentially sparking conversations or discussions.

This feature will not only make the platform more interactive but also foster a sense of community among users by keeping them connected with their friends' thoughts and activities.

Two additional options could be introduced alongside the  "All Users" and "Friends" categories:

1. Trusted Users: This option would allow users to interact specifically with those who have established credibility and trustworthiness on the platform. Similar to the concept used in online shopping, trusted users could be identified based on their consistent behavior, quality contributions, and community feedback.

2. Age of Account: As suggested by bhe0  , this option would filter interactions based on the age of the user’s account. Older accounts often signify long-term engagement and familiarity with platform norms, offering a different level of reliability and experience.
