BEST PRACTICES

These guidelines apply when uploading new images and when reviewing existing gallery content. The goal is to keep galleries relevant to the title, reasonably organized, and focused on official promotional and production material.

Source Every New Upload: Every newly uploaded image should include a source link in the Description field. The link should identify where that particular image was obtained.
Source Images Individually: Do not source one image and write that the following 10, 20, or more uploads are from the same source. Since galleries are displayed as a grid and images may not open in upload order, the source must be added to each individual image. If several images come from the same official post or page, the same source link may be used for each of them.
Use Reliable Sources: Whenever possible, use the original source, such as the broadcaster, production company, streaming platform, distributor, official title account, agency, or another official promotional source.
Avoid Duplicate Uploads: Check the existing gallery before uploading. Do not upload the same image again simply because it has been resized, slightly cropped, brightened, recolored, or otherwise minimally altered.
Choose the Best Version: When several copies of the same image are available, upload the clearest, highest-quality, and most complete version. Meaningfully different official versions, such as posters with different designs or official localized posters, may coexist.
Keep the Gallery Title-Focused: An image should have a clear connection to the drama, movie, or show itself. The fact that members of the cast appear together does not automatically make an image relevant to the title.

REPORTING EXISTING GALLERY IMAGES

The current sourcing requirements primarily apply to new uploads. Older gallery images should not automatically be reported for deletion simply because they do not contain a source.

Do Not Report an Image Solely Because It Is Unsourced: Many images were uploaded before source links became required. If an existing image is clearly an official poster, promotional still, character still, or other permitted material, it may remain even without a source.
Help Source Older Images When Possible: If you locate the original or an official source for an existing unsourced image, adding the source in a comment under the image is encouraged instead of reporting the image for deletion.
Report Unsourced Images When Their Legitimacy Is Questionable: An unsourced image may still be reported when there is a genuine reason to believe it is unofficial, fan-made, prohibited under these guidelines, or otherwise unsuitable for the gallery.
Do Not Report the First Gallery Image for Routine Cleanup: The first image is retained as part of the original title-submission record and may contain information connected to the initial request, including the submitter, submission date, and sources used during approval. Do not report it solely because it is duplicated elsewhere in the gallery, has a lower-quality replacement, or does not contain a source.

Official airing, episode, promotional, or release schedules.
Schedules may be in the native language or English.

Official Production Events

Officially released photos from filming commencement/opening ceremonies, wrap/closing ceremonies, and similar production events.
Official photos from other events created specifically for the title, such as production presentations or title-specific press events, may also be included.

Script Readings

Officially released photos from script readings for the drama, movie, or show.

Casting Announcements

Official images announcing confirmed cast members, character lineups, or casting news.

Posters

Official main promotional posters.
Character posters.
Other official title-specific promotional posters.
Official localized or foreign-language versions of title posters.

Relationship and Character Charts

Official character charts, relationship charts, family trees, or similar graphics explaining the characters or their relationships.

Official Stills and Covers

Official promotional stills.
Character stills.
Episode stills and officially released episode covers.
Multiple episode covers may be included when they are meaningfully different official releases.

Behind-the-Scenes Images

Officially released behind-the-scenes images are allowed.
Use reasonable discretion. Galleries should not contain large numbers of nearly identical photographs showing the same scene or moment from slightly different angles.

Title-Specific Promotional Photoshoots

Photoshoots created specifically to promote the drama, movie, or show may be uploaded.
This includes promotional portrait sets frequently released for Thai, Filipino, and other productions, as well as clearly identified promotional collaborations involving the cast.
A photoshoot published by a magazine or other media outlet may be allowed when the photoshoot itself is clearly presented as a title-specific promotional campaign or collaboration.

Simply photographing several cast members together while they are promoting a title does not automatically make an editorial or fashion photoshoot eligible.

Production, Filming, Distribution, and Registration Documents

Official filming or production licenses.
Official distribution or release licenses.
Official registration or approval documents related to the production.
Official registration records or forms published by government or industry authorities, such as those associated with Chinese film and television productions.

Pre-Release Reservation Announcements

Official graphics announcing the number of reservations (预约) received by an upcoming title are allowed.
This exception applies specifically to pre-release reservation counts. Heat/popularity indexes, view counts, ratings, rankings, and other performance or achievement statistics are not allowed.

Adaptation Source / Original Work

One image representing the original work from which the title was adapted or based, such as a novel, web novel, manga, manhwa, manhua, or webtoon.
Only one such image is permitted, and it must remain as the first original-work image added to the gallery. Additional covers, volumes, editions, character illustrations, or other images from the source material should not be uploaded.

Older Titles

Lower-resolution material may be accepted for older titles, particularly when higher-quality official images no longer exist.
The image should still be reasonably clear and identifiable. Older or rare material should not be removed simply because it does not meet the image quality normally expected from modern productions.

Fan-made posters.
Fan edits.
Images carrying fan-added logos, stamps, watermarks, decorations, or overlays.

Paparazzi, Fan-Taken, and Unofficial On-Set Photos

Paparazzi photographs.
Fan-taken photographs from filming locations.
Unofficial actor sightings or photographs taken by bystanders during filming.
Other leaked or unofficial on-set material.

This is particularly relevant to productions for which large amounts of unofficial filming photography circulate online. Such material may be shared in a dedicated discussion thread, but it does not belong in the title gallery.

Officially released photographs from filming commencement, wrap ceremonies, and production accounts remain allowed.

Magazine Pages, Scans, and Screencaps

Scans or photographs of physical magazine pages.
Screenshots or screencaps of digital magazines.
Screenshots of articles, interviews, or magazine layouts.
Full magazine spreads containing text, page layouts, advertisements, or other editorial elements.

A clean standalone promotional photograph officially released digitally may qualify under Title-Specific Promotional Photoshoots, but the magazine page or scan itself does not.

Unrelated Editorial, Fashion, and Magazine Photoshoots

General fashion or editorial photoshoots featuring members of the cast.
Magazine photoshoots that are primarily promoting the actors, fashion labels, magazine issue, or another product rather than the title itself.
Photoshoots do not become title-related merely because the actors are interviewed about the drama or movie or because the shoot was published around the time of its release.

Event Posters

Posters advertising fan meetings.
Posters advertising press conferences.
Posters advertising cast appearances or other events rather than the title itself.

Unrelated Events and Appearances

Award ceremony photographs.
Red carpet photographs unrelated to a title-specific premiere or promotional event.
Variety show appearances by the cast.
Fan meetings.
Brand events.
Fashion events.
Other public appearances that feature cast members but are not part of the title's own production or official promotional material.

Rankings, Performance Statistics, and Data Graphics

Streaming rankings.
View-count achievements (e.g., 热度).
Ratings charts.
Popularity rankings.
Box-office ranking screenshots or graphics.
Social-media statistics.
Other graphics primarily documenting how well a title is performing.

This applies even when the ranking or statistic was published by an official platform.

Exception: Official pre-release reservation or booking milestone announcements are permitted as described under Pre-Release Reservation Announcements.

Commercial, Engagement & Campaign Graphics

Images whose primary purpose is to advertise or sell merchandise, promotional packages, memberships, paid benefits, or other commercial offerings.
Voting campaigns, contests, giveaways, calls to action, fan-participation campaigns, and similar audience-engagement graphics.
These images are not permitted even when they are released by the title's official account or another official source.

Quote & Dialogue Graphics

Social-media graphics created primarily to display or compile dialogue, quotations, memorable lines, or written excerpts from the title are not allowed, even when released by an official account.
This does not apply to official promotional stills that contain dialogue, captions, character names, taglines, or other text as part of their official design.

Music Releases

OST album covers.
Single covers.
Song covers.
Music-platform artwork or other music-release covers, even when they feature members of the cast.

Screenshots From the Title

User-created screenshots, screen captures, or frame grabs taken directly from the drama, movie, or show are not permitted.

Exception: Images of the same scene that were separately and officially released as promotional stills by the broadcaster, production company, platform, or another official source are allowed.

Unofficial Edits and Added Elements

Images containing user-added subtitles, text, emojis, brush marks, filters, effects, decorations, logos, or other alterations are not allowed.
Text, graphics, or design elements that are part of the original officially released image, original official poster, schedule, chart, announcement, license, or promotional graphic are not considered user edits and are not prohibited by this rule.

Low-Quality Images

Unnecessarily blurry, severely pixelated, distorted, or extremely low-resolution images when a usable official version is available.
Do not replace or report older or rare images merely because modern high-resolution material does not exist.

Explicit Content

Images containing nudity, graphic gore, or similarly explicit material are not permitted as ordinary gallery images.

Exception: An official version of the title's main poster containing such material may be retained when appropriate and must be marked with the NSFW tag.
