Are Feng Ran and Feng Yan the same person in the novel? But, it changed in the drama? I feel like Feng Ran is the reincarnation of Feng Yan and Jing Jian is the reincarnation of Wu Xi.

That's what I thought first. Because they have a lot of similarities, being a powerful Phoenix Princess, her destiny to be in Shang Gu's side.

The drama changed this plot coz they cast the different actress.

Soon. I don't know when, since the drama has a little difference with the novel. He is now on a mission planned by Bai Jue.

After the 2nd arc, is it so far stick to the novel in term of the flow or any changes? 

So far they are sticking to plot arc but they changed how the plot came to be, for example how Houchi and Qing Mu met, Qing Mu never made appearance in public like that, how they went into the demon realm, the way they are moving in the demon realm itself in the novel Houchi changed into a kid upon entering the demon realm but all the important encounters and plot point are the same. Tianqi also appeared earlier than in the novel but I have no problem with the changes so far, I think the changes so far is good to ease audience into the 3rd arc because 3rd arc is super painful without all these backstory

These spoilers are the only thing keeping me from

watching the new episodes. I cannot handle all the heartbreak and want to wait.

so essentially doesn't that make Bai Jue become the God of Chaos? He pretty much has both immortal and demonic cultivation and sacrificed himself in place of Shanggu for the tribulation.. which is what was set in stone for the God of Chaos to do. And if each true God is reborn after a thousand years why don't we see Zhiyang appear by now? o: 

also if you can explain the difference between Bo Xuan and Qing Mu would be great. I understand that Bai Jue created Qing Mu but what about Bo Xuan? Is that just Bai Jue using a different name/identity (hence him wearing a mask when he was with Houchi)

Zhiyang isn’t dead his soul stayed in God’s Realm so he only awakens when Shang Gu opens the God’s Realm. 

About Bai Jue, yeah pretty much but he had to sacrifice his soul and his body for it, he shouldn’t be able to reincarnate again after that but he manage to do and why? I don’t know at this point I was just happy the book had a happy ending after all the suffering lol in the end Shang Gu prayed everyday and he reincarnates.

Bo Xuan is Bai Jue’s original immortal body, he is just using other name,  that body could never refine demonic energy. After he understood what chaos power was he knew he couldn’t do it with his current body so he created Qing Mu. Remember when Houchi and Qing Mu are on third realm and Qing Mu fights in Houchi’s place and she senses some demon power in Qing Mu?

I don’t know what happened to her in the novel but in the trailer she seemed to be punished by thunder strikes and might as well lose all of her cultivation because her hair turned white.
