Drama is better at most aspects. While the novel let every literal plotline hanging loosely with no conclusion, drama conclude most of it.

No murder in novel. Taeseong is alive and return, and that's where novel ends, just like that.

Ex-wife is one dimensional in novel. We never know why she left Jeongwon.

We only get a  hint of Jeongwon's trauma, a very vague hint in the novel.

The most tense scene in both novel and drama was that dinner scene.

In both novel and drama, stalker never felt like a big danger.

Si-jeong and neighbor granny is 3 dimensional in novel, but one dim. in drama: granny is madly in love with a young oppa and spend money on him, her son despise her for that (elderly sexual desire). Inji' suicide friend loved Si-jeong and Si-jeong loved and loves Inji.

The reason Inji accepted Jeongwon was different in novel: she had used her 2 no's so had no other option (third no and job i gone)

In novel, ex-wife get pregnant by her FH.

NM is darker in the novel and the reason Inji quit is because she think that NM will do the same things they did to Taeseong to her when she will no longer be useful.

Open. After end of contract, they promise to live together if meet again. She go to her apartment. Rice cakes are here. She think whom to ask help, Jeongwon or Si-jeong... that's it.
