Timeline of Ancient Love Poetry - The Last Immortal and Moonlight Mystique

The below timeline is based on the ALP, and the 3 original novels by Xing Ling:

  • Tianqi started to search for Yuemi after Bai Jue was reborn/resurrected. The accident that led to his "death" happened during the time Feng Yin waiting for Yuanqi's resurrection. According to the novel, Fan Yue met Feng Yin while she was still mourning and waiting for Yuanqi. Thus I guess the whole content of this story falls in the period when Yuanqi went offline (Feng Yin had to wait for 1000 years). 
  • The timeline is: The original God realm, then Shanggu's martyrdom  then 60000 year to Houchi & Qing Mu's story then 100 years Houchi's excile then 100 years for Shanggu to wake up then Bai (Black) Jue 's martyrdom shortly after that + 3 years Shanggu mourning before her kneeling for 500 years until Bai Jue's rebirth.
    Yuanqi faced the destruction of his sect when Bai Jue returned (Shanggu kneeled for 500 year in the drama and 100 year in the novel). Shortly after that A Yin was killed by Yuanqi. It took 1000 years for her in the reincarnation cycles to return as Feng Yin. A few months later Yuanqi's soul dispersed to seal Nether world (Jiu Yu).
  • Therefore, Tianqi's accident happened about more than 1000 years after Bai Jue's rebirth. He saved Bai Shuo sisters shortly before the accident since mortal life was short. Fan Yue met Bai Shuo a decade after she was saved by Tianqi

Updated: In Episode 6, Fan Yue told Bai Shuo that the God realm had 3 clans led by Mo Li, Jing Yuan and Xing Yue respectively and It collapsed 60000 years ago.
This implies that the production of this drama tried to make this drama with their own universe which was parelleled with ALP's universe.

The beginning of the 3 novel started off in God Realm in the novel Shanggu which tells the love story between Bai Jue and Shang Gu. I take the timeline of main events. Of course there is some minor event/incidents which happened in the god realm. However, The first key point is Shang Gu's martyrdom which also marks the ending of Ancient Time/Era. Then God realm closed and the story moved the the post-ancient time . Main events happened with that order 60000 years after Shang Gu's "death". If you are familiar with Ancient Love Poetry and The Last Immortal, you would get the timeline and event order.

Yes, that is the content in the novel about Bai Shuo. Tianqi did not share anything with Feng Yin that Yuanqi was always by her side. In the novel, Feng Yin knew Fan Yue's orgin but she did not say anything, even trolled him a bit :D . She knew very well the close connection between Yuanqi and Tianqi since Tianqi took care of Yuanqi since infant

I read many novel in a same time and I forgot a lot from the story. Let me eat again the novel and I will surely complaint about the different lol.

Right now, watch and read in a same time. 

The only novel that I read and watch in a same time and didn't change a lot was '' The Legend of Shen Li'' hm...all other novel change so much

Yes the setting  and background were changed a lot. There is no conceptualless stone in the original novel. Bai shuo didn’t have such hatred since her father and Bai Xi lived a normal life. Instead, she was very tolerant to Chong Zhao since she felt his family tragedy was partially due to her. Because Chong zhao had tried to find and rescue her, he revealed the family troop which linked to his father’s betrayal plan

SPIRITUAL POWER LEVELS IN ALP, TLI AND MM

Originally, these dramas were adapted from the trilogy xianxia novels written by Xing Ling named Shang Gu, Hidden God and Bai Shuo Goddess respectively. Thus these 3 novels share the same universe, structure and physical philosophy.

In Eps 2 of ALP, Bai Jue explained to Shang Gu about the spiritual power level and the origin of devil power. He said there 3 levels of power:

The First level was Ancestral God's power which was used to create the world

2nd level: Power of Ruler that True Gods had including the Chief God's power (meaning chaos power since the chief god had this type of power), immortal power and demonic power.

3rd level: the power used in lower realms.

Thus all True Gods had the 2nd level of power.
Ancestral God had chaos power and he used this type of power to create the world. And later several characters in ALP, TLI used chaos power to resurrect decease individuals such as Bai Jue or Yuan Qi. Therefore, chaos power could be considered as the power to create and sustain lives. It had merging properties of immortal and demon power which were 2 opposite types of power too. Thus chaos power was unique and the existence of the God realm require chaos power. The main reason drove Zhi Yang to convince Bai Jue to teach Shang Gu cultivation was the depletion of Chaos level in the world. And Shang Gu was the only god who had this power. In the other world, she was the resource, the cultivator for this power, not only for herself but for the god realm to maintain. In Eps 10 when she completed the cultivation, the level of Chaos power in the world which reflected in the Pilgrimage Palace soared highly. Therefore, people in god realm recognized that she finished the cultivation within only 1000 years in the Netherworld and would soon returned. At that point, her power level could be higher than those of Bai Jue, Zhi Yang or Tianqi since her martyrdom could eliminate the Chaos Tribulation while others could not. They could only seal and postpone the Chaos Tribulation for some time.

On the other hand, Xuan Yi in the beginning (meaning 70 thousand years before the moment Shang Gu started her training) already had chaos power. He was selected as Chief God. He knew the fate of Chief God thus he set up the plan. At that time, he was defeated by BJ, ZY and TQ together. However, this loss was his plan too. Thus he might not be weaker of the sum of  BJ, ZY and TQ. Moreover, at that time, he absorbed the negative spirit from deceased soldiers. Combination of this with his original chaos power created devil power. So his power had chaos power as the foundation, merging with negative, dark power of death. He stayed in Netherworld for 70 000 years. Thus, he also could cultivate much further. In term of cultivation time, his was much longer than 1000 years in Shang Gu's case. In order to defeat Xuan Yi, many high ranked gods sacrificed their lives and Bai Jue used an artifact - the Killing God Bow. Therefore, in term of power level Xuan Yi was likely higher than Shang Gu.

Bai Jue was God war and he train hard during his life. In the end of the drama he managed to synthesis Chaos Power and eliminate the Chaos Tribulation using his life. However, his chaos power was not as pure as Shang Gu. Thus, Bai Jue might rank lower than Shang Gu.

Yuan Qi (YQ) was conceived by Qing Mu and Hou Chi. He was the only one who had True God level at birth. When he was a kid, he had strong power. While Shang Gu was kneeling, it was Zhi Yang taking care of TQ and he used to complain with TQ that it was very exhausted to chase TQ. However, it must taken into account that ZY at that point had just woken from hibernation and spending his power to sustain the God Realm for more than 60 000 years.

Later, It was TQ who sealed YQ's power. TQ sealed Jiu Yu where captured all the ancient devils. Half of his power was transferred to Purple Moon to nurture demon clan. So, It was likely that TQ had stronger power than YQ.

ZY did not show much fighting skill in ALP. However he still had ruler power level. He cultivated 70 000 years before he and other remaining gods in God Realm fell into hibernation, supplying their power to maintain God Realm.

 Although YQ had pure chaos power, he had just live for 700 years (based on ALP) before the seal of his power got broken due to unbearable loss for him. He did not train or cultivate properly during early life. Then he devoted all of his power to collect the disperse spirit of those in his Sect. In the novel, the members of his Sect were resurrected but in the drama TLI, just the spirit was collected and "resurrected" then those me member entered reincarnation circle. His power was almost exhausted by doing so. All later events, he used the power from his sword instead of his. The characteristic of YQ power was superior but his cultivation was short.

Therefore, in my opinion, Zhi Yang's power at its peaks was still higher than YQ's in TLI.

The Ranking would be: Xuan Yi>Shang Gu>Bai Jue>Tianqi>ZhiYang>Yuan Qi.

Seriously the best explication about the rang power from the 3 series. I was also sure Xuan Yi was the most powerful because the 3 true gods fighting agaisnt him. 

Just to be sure, the god of war, eveytime they be''out the work'' isn't a same person right? When they ''reformed'' a new true god...they cannot keep any souvenirs and also isn't a same ''soul''?

I think H19279 explication was pretty good. Imagine I didn't read ''Ancient God'' and ''Hidden God'' and we want to know the chronologie from all characters. Because H19279 explication, I can understand better the story and connection between the three novel.

Seriously if I can just stay home and reading...I will be soooo happy sigh...sadly real life catching us awawaaa

I guess, this is how is it. Moonlight Mystique is now not directly connected with it's parent's drama ALP. However, I think, the 3 Gods in ALP is still in here. In ALP, there are 3 True Gods who are MC of the drama, Bai Jue, Jing Yuan aka  Tian Qi, and Shang Gu. In ALP, Yue Mi (Xing Yue) is just an immortal Deity, not an Ancient God and is a close friend or sworn sister of Shang Gu.

In Moonlight Mystique, there are Jing Yuan (in which the case, replaces Bai Jue but still retains his title as Demon Eternal God), Xing Yue (also, she replaces Shang Gu but still retains her title as Goddess of Moon and Stars, but here, she is like a Chaos God), and Mo Li (He is, rather Bai Jue in this universe. But in this plot, he is like Tian Qi of ALP. Still, retain his title as God of Fire or Ancient God Eternal rival to Jing Yuan.), also there is Bai Xi (We don't know her identity yet, but, She could be the one portraying Shang Gu, but, she switched places with Xing Yue).

In ALP, Yue Mi died before Tian Qi. In Moonlight Mystique, it is rather Bai Xi, not Yue Mi, and it is Mo Li (Chong Zhao), not Tian Qi.

If you watched ALP, Moonlight Mystique is like just a retelling of that drama.

Some says, Chong Zhao is the reincarnation of Hidden Lord. But no. He is Bai Jue in this drama. We know Bai Jue practices Chaos cultivation during his time as Qing Mu and Bo Xuan to replace Shang Gu. Chong Zhao here, is just a victim of Zhen Yu. After all, if Zhen Yu captured Fan Yue and Bai Shou, he also put hidden power within them to revive the Hidden Lord. He needs the three True Gods, in which, in this drama, are Jing Yuan, Xing Yue, and Mo Li. Mo Li here will act as a vessel of the Hidden Lord, but is not the Hidden Lord himself. This might be the major change in the story.
