I honestly could not remember what compelled me to watch this lol. It introduced me to Lee Joon but tbh I completely forgot he was in this. All I remember was that it was pretty low-budget and it was about him being haunted by a ghost.

  • Mr. X and I

    8. Mr. X and I

    Chinese Drama - 2015, 4 episodes

Very short anthology series. I mostly only remember the first one (about school bullying). I think there was a sequel to that one somewhere?

  • Water Boyy: The Movie

    9. Water Boyy: The Movie

    Thai Movie - 2015

    7.0

This was a random pick (mainly choose it for the teams friendship/bromance). I think this was one of my first forays into Thai media. Can't remember much about it, but I remember it was a bit confusing and had choppy storytelling in some parts. Didn't like the Coach's story (which I honestly only remembered now since I watched the trailer to jog my memory lol).

  • Marriage, Not Dating

    10. Marriage, Not Dating

    Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes

    7.0

I originally picked this drama for its fake dating, contract relationship, and love-hate relationship tags. Unfortunately, however, it became one of my first ever exposures to the rich man/poor woman trope and the infamous evil mother-in-laws! Needless to say, it turned out to be very melodramatic so it left me with very mixed feelings. I must admit, it had its fair share of incredibly cute moments between the leads, but it also had many parts that were just downright annoying and dragged on for way too long. There were moments when I got really frustrated, especially with the ML's mother. I mean, she really needed to chill. I understand her life was far from ideal (I mean it absolutely sucked but still) since her husband was the biggest asshole ever. I get why she stayed with him for as long as she did but ffs he was going way too far. So instead of leaving her awful husband, how does she deal with this frustration? By being a complete bitch to her son's girlfriend (who for the most part was innocent - I guess her only crime was being poor). Yea, no thank you. I also don’t remember the ML helping her out. How lame. So overall, this drama had its highs and lows. It had some nice moments but mostly some not-so-nice moments. I wouldn’t recommend this drama or rewatch.

    11. No Touching At All

One of the very first BLs I've ever watched. It was really slow but nice, I guess.

A short and sweet, tragic bromance.  Also Lee Gi Kwang??

  • Enoshima Prism

    14. Enoshima Prism

    Japanese Movie - 2013

    8.5

I randomly decided to watch this one for its time-travel tag. I really liked it, even though it felt quite sad? It had that typical unhurried Japanese slice-of-life storytelling style to it, like a sweltering hot day in high school with cicadas chirping in the background type of vibe (um I just rewatched the trailer and they made it seem like an urgent thriller? Am I remembering things correctly or? lol). Usually, I'm not a huge fan of the slow slice-of-life genre, but it worked here, thanks to the time travel element! The main focus was on their friendship which I liked.

This movie introduced me to Sota, and I loved his character in this. I've seen a lot of his work since then. This was the type of movie that made me like it as soon as I finished it. It was also one of the first Asian movies I saw with time travel, so I continued to think about it a long time after I finished since it left a lasting impression. I would definitely rewatch this again in the future.
