    1. Reply 1988

    Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes

Reply 1988 - Does it get more “family” then this? If you have trouble understanding a family member or want to see yourself in someone, I’m sure there’s at least one person in the cast you can relate yourself or someone you know with. An amazing drama that is very magical and so incredibly wholesome that you wonder how it still feels so relatable. Makes you cherish your own family. - u/Sarahsikder

Reply 1988 - The main focus of the drama are the different kinds of families and the different bonds between them. It’s a wholesome slice of life drama that depicts families, friendships and romantic relationships in a beautiful way.  - u/Fatooz

  • My Mister

    7. My Mister

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

My Mister - What I consider one of the best television shows ever, My Mister touches on a bunch of different themes. Some of the most prominent are brotherhood and family. Although the story is primarily about the protagonist, Dong Hoon, getting sucked into office politics, the show also shows us the life of his struggling brothers and how the three deal with the ups and downs of their chaotic life, while trying to make the best of it.  The story also touches upon the struggling married life of Dong Hoon, as well as Dong Hoon's love for his neighbourhood and the people there, who are like a family to him. - u/TotoroTheGreat

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

My Unfamiliar Family (2020), a family slowly drifting apart is shaken by an event. How are they going to face it? That's the one-line synopsis. But a lot is going on both individually and collectively. There's at least one twist in each episode in the form of flashbacks. • Navillera

    14. Navillera

    Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

Navillera is a story about the friendship that forms between a troubled but talented young ballerino and a retired postman who has always wanted to dance ballet. Family relationships are definitely front and center in this drama as the family learns and reacts to their retired husband/father finally chasing his long held back dreams. There's also an estranged relationship between the young ballerino and his father who has just gotten out of prison. It's a drama that could have very easily gotten maudlin and sappy, but manages through beautiful writing and acting to avoid that trap. Just a really fantastic drama all the way around. - u/Silly_Merricat
