  • Good Morning Call

    1. Good Morning Call

    Japanese Drama - 2016, 17 episodes

    8.0

As my introduction for J-Dramas, the acting seemed so overdramatic like how animes are dramatic then I realised this is based on a manga so it all made sense. Once I got over the dramatic reactions from the FL it was actually an okay drama

  • Kuzu no Honkai

    2. Kuzu no Honkai

    Japanese Drama - 2017, 12 episodes

    8.0

When I first watched it I was like WTF this is so different from your typical K-Drama plot. It was more mature and out there for a storyline but it had me intrigued. I mostly started this because of Sakurada Dori from Good Morning Call and wanted another show to watch with someone I knew and this was just released at the time

  • 14-sai no Haha

    3. 14-sai no Haha

    Japanese Drama - 2006, 11 episodes

    7.5

This was a well done drama about teen pregnancy in my opinion. Again this is another more mature (I guess??) plot but it was very realistic and it was a nice change from Good Morning Call since it wasn't so dramatic considering there's a lot of drama in this

  • Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai

    4. Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai

    Japanese Special - 2015, 2 episodes

    8.5

First of all, WTF was this storyline? After watching this show I realised this is how J-Dramas are and guys like this seem to be desirable in these shows? I wasn't a fan of how the ML was so controlling and possessive but I got sucked into the show to think it was all okay? IDK, in the end, I did like it but the ML really is questionable and if someone was like this IRL I wouldn't want to be anywhere near them, it would be a clear red flag but this is a show so I'll allow it I suppose. I mean I still watched the movie that followed this show so what does that say about me ¯\(◉◡◔)/¯ Also after watching this show, it made me really like the lead actress Komatsu Nana and made me watch more of her work and shes really talented

  • MARS - Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru

    5. MARS - Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru

    Japanese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes

    8.5

Another odd plot but I got used to the typical J-Drama plot at this point so it wasn't so bad

  • Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu

    6. Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu

    Japanese Drama - 2017, 5 episodes

    7.0

I'm still confused with this plotline, like he was her brother? but also not really? so is this incest? IDK the movie that followed the drama just made me confused with the ending

  • Boku no Ita Jikan

    7. Boku no Ita Jikan

    Japanese Drama - 2014, 11 episodes

    7.5

This is a really good sad drama, also as I'm writing this after Miura Haruma death, it makes this show more sad for me now. He really did a good job with this role

  • Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto

    8. Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto

    Japanese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes

    8.0

I don't really know what to say about this show other than I really enjoyed it and liked the romance plus I had seen Yamazaki Kento's previous work and liked it so I thought I'd check this one out and I wasn't disappointed.

  • anone

    9. anone

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes

I watched 1 ep but this show is on hold for now, maybe I'll go back to it

  • Koizora

    10. Koizora

    Japanese Drama - 2008, 6 episodes

    7.0

I don't remember much from this show, I do remember it was tragic but it didn't stand out to much for me

  • Gomen, Aishiteru

    11. Gomen, Aishiteru

    Japanese Drama - 2017, 10 episodes

    7.5

This show definitely is tragic lol. I didn't know how to feel about the ML and FL of the show at first because of the age difference even though they're both adults, maybe I just have age gap issues lol but the second ML wasn't any better so I did prefer the ML but it did open my eyes to Sakaguchi Kentaro and watch more of his work. [Sidenote: I didn't know he was friends with BTS (I think he's mostly friends with J-Hope from what I saw anyway)]

  • Yume wo Ataeru

    12. Yume wo Ataeru

    Japanese Drama - 2015, 4 episodes

    8.0

A short but good drama highlighting the entertainment industry and a mum pushing her daughter into it

  • Tonari no Kazoku wa Aoku Mieru

    13. Tonari no Kazoku wa Aoku Mieru

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes

This is a nice look into the lives (and homes) of all the different characters. I still haven't finished this show but I did like what I saw of it so far

  • Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days

    14. Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days

    Japanese Drama - 2017, 10 episodes

    9.0

In my opinion, it was better than the first season, maybe because I liked the addition of Sugino Yosuke's character. It's basically like the first season except they're in college and they face some bumps in their relationship

  • Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

    15. Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

    Japanese Drama - 2013, 8 episodes

    7.5

I discovered this show because I wanted to watch a show with Triendl Reina since I know her from Terrace House and found out she was also an actress and this was a romance show, even though she isn't the lead, the plot seemed interesting.

  • Parfait Tic

    16. Parfait Tic

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes

    7.0

This was in my suggestions so I tried it out and it was different to me because I didn't know who was the male lead and the second male lead lol I'm still kinda confused with what happened but then again its been a while since I watched it so I don't remember much from it

  • Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo

    17. Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo

    Japanese Drama - 2013, 16 episodes

    7.0

Straight away you can tell its from a manga. It was an interesting plot with a meteorite destroying their house and them having to move into crush's house, that part was comical to me. I still don't know if I like the whole tsundere ML trope

  • Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2

    18. Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2

    Japanese Drama - 2014, 16 episodes

I just watched 1 ep of the 2nd season but I stopped liking the ML after the 1st ep. I realised the don't like the tsundere trope, at least for this time around

  • Switched

    19. Switched

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 6 episodes

    7.0

I really liked the plot and how it highlighted issues with bullying and body image issues in today's society. The show really had a good message and I loved Kaga so much, Kaga is best boy <3

  • Love and Fortune

    20. Love and Fortune

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 12 episodes

    7.5

This show definitely is more mature and has sexual content, I mean it is about a married woman having an affair with a high schooler. It was a good watch, seeing her discover herself more and what she wants in her life

  • Kakafukaka

    21. Kakafukaka

    Japanese Drama - 2019, 10 episodes

    8.0

I saw that the other name for this show is Screw-Up Adults' Sharehouse and I mean it makes sense. The characters in the sharehouse all have different views on relationships and love and you can see how they're emotional scars have left them dysfunctional. I still don't know if I really liked this show in the end but it was a good watch, I mean I managed to finish it so that must mean something?

  • Minami-kun no Koibito - My Little Lover

    22. Minami-kun no Koibito - My Little Lover

    Japanese Drama - 2015, 10 episodes

I just watched 1 ep and dropped this so I can't say much on it other than it wasn't interesting enough for me to continue it

  • Are You Ready? Hey You Girl!

    23. Are You Ready? Hey You Girl!

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 5 episodes

    7.0

I don't have much to say about this show since I remember the movie sequel more so I guess this wasn't as good in comparison to what followed it. I mostly wanted to give this a go because of Ito Kentaro from Terrace House and the female lead in the movie was a strong female lead so I liked that

  • Love That Makes You Cry

    24. Love That Makes You Cry

    Japanese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes

i am yet to go back to watching this show and finishing it but I did like what I saw of it so far

  • Tourist

    25. Tourist

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 3 episodes

    7.0

The story is very simple, each episode the ML is a different country and has these encounters with 3 different women and we get a glimpse into their lives and he kinda just comes in and changes their outlook on the world and their one brief encounter was really meaningful to the female characters

  • Sachiiro no One Room

    26. Sachiiro no One Room

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes

    7.0

This is a very dysfunctional love story (if you can even call it that?) with the FL having experienced all this abuse from all corners of her life, with her family, her classmates and even her teacher. It was quite dark and I still don't know what to make of this show it seemed all too much with the abuse she was getting like they want you to pity her sooo much that they made the character suffer everything they could think of and be completely alone before finding her kidnapper which somehow was the best thing that has ever happened to her?? idk this was weird

  • Junichi

    27. Junichi

    Japanese Drama - 2019, 6 episodes

    6.5

This show really wasn't all that as I watched it. I think the 1st episode was the best out of all of them. I'm still lost on the message behind the show, I mean he just moves from one place to the next and has sex with the women he encounters. I guess it's just to show these lives of the women and their satisfaction with their lives and Junichi is just there for a fleeting moment to comfort them in some way.

  • Coffee & Vanilla

    28. Coffee & Vanilla

    Japanese Drama - 2019, 10 episodes

Watched 2 eps but I need to go back to watching it

  • Perfect Crime

    29. Perfect Crime

    Japanese Drama - 2019, 10 episodes

I was interested after the 1st ep but again I need to go back into watching this

  • Missions of Love

    30. Missions of Love

    Japanese Drama - 2018, 4 episodes

    7.0

I don't know why J-Dramas make a show first and then have a Movie as a sequel because I end up just liking the movie more and this show kinda makes it pointless and this show is an example of that

  • Raise de wa Chanto Shimasu

    31. Raise de wa Chanto Shimasu

    Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes

    7.0

I really didn't know what to expect when I watched this show but as other people have previously commented on the show, it was really unexpectedly wholesome. It was also new to me that the FL in an Asian drama was a playgirl with 5 different guys she has sex with on the regular. This drama overall was really refreshing and I liked how all the characters had different sexual experiences and ideals or preferences when it comes to sex and it was really non-judgmental. I would definitely recommend this

  • Boku wa Mari no Naka

    32. Boku wa Mari no Naka

    Japanese Drama - 2017, 8 episodes

    6.0

This drama was pretty meh, I'm still a bit lost with the concept of the plot.

    *SPOLIER*

It's a body swap storyline but he's the only one that went into her body yet his body still exists with him existing inside? so it wasn't really a swap? It's confusing and the non-stop crying got annoying, I'm surprised I managed to even finish this show

  • Imawa no Kuni no Alice

    33. Imawa no Kuni no Alice

    Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    9.5
  • Rinko-san wa Shite Mitai

    34. Rinko-san wa Shite Mitai
