My 2026 WISHLIST

Started & Finished end January '26.

I loved it ! A good romcom without crazy storylines. It's super cute and very funny.
The cast's acting skills and chemistry are incredibly good.
Heartfelt healings and friendship, hilarious characters and moments, it truly had it all. Such a wholesome show !

BUT I personaly found the last episodes way too rushed.
Every fight and confrontation are clearly meant to happen but they just bombarded everything in the last 2 episodes. And everything just got magically fixed almost immediately after that.
I know it's fiction but there are so many real life aspects in the series that made it feel so relatable and "it all just magically and perfectly mending on its own" felt completely unrealistic and thus very unfulfilling to me.

Started in March '26. DROPPED after completing the first 4 episodes.

It simply bored me. The acting was great and there were a few good scenes here and there but unfortunately nothing was really gripping me the rest of the time.

Definitely not your typical BL but a heartwarming "found family trope" drama addressing Japanese societal themes with care.
While this show had a lot of fun and interesting characters and a few refreshing parts, there were moments when it felt sluggish and lacked spark. I even found the acting (of the 2 MLs) felt a bit off at times.
I don't regret watching it but I found it had the potential to be better.

I was eagerly waiting for the 3rd and final season to be completely over so I could finally start and binge-watch this series from the very beginning.

I'm glad I watched this 1st season. I enjoyed it but, curiously, I was also quite nervous and stressed while watching. I had to pause multiple times during some episodes. I'm quite surprised this series had such a "trigger effect of some sort" on me. Tbh I'm still processing and trying to figure out why I was so reactive during this watch...
Hopefully season 2 will be less "triggering" for me.

So I started watching season 2 almost immediately after the 1st.
The 2nd season was very emotional but fortunately less triggering for me. I really liked this very entertaining 2nd installment (even though I cried a lot).

I then followed right away with the 3rd and last season. And Oh my... I tried to go slow but I binge-watched that one so fast ! I LOVED that 3rd installment so much.
My only complaint: except for the unnecessary long "Love Triangle" sidestory, it was WAY TOO SHORT !

The first two seasons had 14 episodes each and this last one was merely 8 episodes long. This final season could have easily benefited from (at least) 2 more episodes as the last episodes felt a bit rushed compared to the beginning.

In conclusion, this is how I scored each season of this wonderful series:
- Season 1: 8,5/10
- Season 2: 9/10
- Season 3: 9.5/10

The premise was genuinely engaging and the first 3–4 episodes were enjoyable.
Then, what began as a cute, quiet slice‑of‑life romance quickly turned into something oversweet, repetitive, and almost aggressively conflict‑free.
Ironically, that’s exactly when the story lost whatever charm it had.

For me, the lack of nuance, the absence of character development, the overly sanitized tone (borderline propaganda‑like), and the (over)sweetness made it a genuine struggle to finish.

In the end, the sweetest thing about this drama was the relief I felt when it ended.

At first glance, this Thai drama is undeniably beautiful: the production, the costumes, the atmosphere, and the leads’ performances all have a classic lakorn charm. But despite its elegance, the drama suffers from several issues that keep it from reaching its full potential.

My Cherie Amour is visually polished and well‑acted, but its slow pacing, choppy editing, repetitive conflicts, uneven soundtrack, and overly restrained romance prevent it from becoming truly memorable. It’s a pretty and safe drama; just not a fully satisfying one.

I just learned there's a 2nd season planned (and confirmed).
So I'll watch this 1st season when that second installment finishes airing. Yup, I'm that patient !
