Kim Hee Tae, known professionally as Sam Kim, is a South Korean chef. He graduated from Sungmoon High School and later obtained a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu Hollywood Campus.

His mother was a chef de cuisine, so he was exposed to cooking and the kitchen environment since he was a child. He tricked his family after high school, as he told them he would study Accounting in the United States. In reality, he took the money and enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu school, earning the overall #1 spot in his class. He worked as a chef at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and later, he returned to South Korea and became the executive chef of the Italian restaurant "Bonasera" in Gangnam. He is currently the owner-chef of "Osteria Sam Kim" and "Trattoria Sam Kim".
