Nakamura attended Doshisha Kori Junior High School but transferred to Ichikawa Municipal Daiichi Junior High School after one semester. He began playing in bands during high school at Kokubun High School, performing folk, rock, and R&B music.
While studying at Aoyama Gakuin University, Nakamura worked as a session musician, playing bass for various artists. He met Yoshida Miwa during this time and initially supported her as a manager. In January 1988, they formed "CHA-CHA & AUDREY's PROJECT," which later evolved into DREAMS COME TRUE.
Originally aspiring to be a singer and lyricist, Nakamura shifted his focus to other roles at Yoshida's suggestion. In July 2002, he and Yoshida founded the indie label "DCT Records," where they serve as executive producers.
Nakamura released a book titled "Ore mo Dori KAMU da!" on July 25, 2007. On January 17, 2019, he launched "MST Order Uniform Company," specializing in worker-themed products.
