Her journey to fame wasn’t easy—at the age of 20, she moved to Seoul with only 300,000 won (approximately $243) in her pocket. She worked at a bar in Gangnam to support herself, struggling for over a year before getting her break in modeling and then acting.
She made her acting debut in a minor role in "Reunited Worlds". She got her first main role in MBC TV's "Money Flower".
