Kim Chae Won
- Name: Kim Chae Won
- Native name: 김채원
- Also Known as: Chaewon
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Female
- Born: November 8, 1997
- Age: 28
She made her debut in August 2015 as the group's main vocalist and rapper with their first album, "Dreaming". She made her acting debut in 2016 with a role in the drama "Reply Pyeongchang, 100°F" (응답하라 평창 100°F).
The group went on hiatus in January 2021 when a person claiming to be Lee Hyun Joo's brother posted several accusations against the APRIL members, saying that his sister's departure from the group was due to being severely bullied by them, at one point, even attempting suicide. DSP Media (DSP미디어) immediately denied the accusations and promised to take legal action against the Lee siblings. However, the group faced heavy backlash and began losing scheduled events, endorsement deals and even acting roles. They officially announced their disbandment in April 2022.
In July 2022, she signed with Janggoon Entertainment (장군 엔터테인먼트), and the next month, she made her debut as a soloist with the digital single "Tomorrow".
