Sunny Wang is a Taiwanese actor born in the United States and raised in New Jersey and New York City. He studied at New York University, majoring in Marketing at the Stern School of Business and minoring in Film Production at Tisch School of the Arts.

In addition to his acting career, Wang has experience in air freight logistics, operated a modified car shop in New York, and managed a nightclub in Shanghai. He currently works with family to run a multi-brand clothing boutique, while his father is involved in trade and organic fertilizer businesses.

Wang married singer Cai Shi Yun on December 27, 2015, and they welcomed a daughter in 2019.
