  • Also Known as: Park Kahi, Park Ka Hui, Park Ga Hui, Park Ji Yeong, 박가희

  • Born: December 25, 1980
  • Age: 45
Park Ji Young, known professionally as Kahi, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and former member of S.BLUSH (에스블러쉬) and AFTER SCHOOL (애프터스쿨). She graduated from Sunnae High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Seokyeong University.

In 2000, she was chosen as the main dancer for DJ DOC's "Run to You". However, she suffered from stress, and the sudden rise in popularity forced her to go on hiatus to recover. She worked several part-time jobs until a choreographer at SM Entertainment gave her the chance to become BoA's temporary dancer. As her dance skills were so impressive, she remained in that role for 3 years and even expanded her job by working as a backup dancer for several other singers.

In 2005, she joined CJ Music (CJ뮤직) and became part of S.BLUSH. The Korean-American group was set to debut, but the agency delayed it several times as they wanted to target the international market but lacked a proper marketing plan. In February 2007, they finally released their debut single, "It's My Life". However, the agency faced investment problems, and without any specific plan for any future activities, members began leaving, and the group disbanded in May of that year.

She then contacted friends at Pledis Entertainment (플레디스 엔터테인먼트), and after 2 years of planning, she re-debuted in January 2009 as AFTER SCHOOL's original leader, lead vocalist, main rapper, main dancer and center with their first single album, "New Schoolgirl". They received attention for their unique live performances, often incorporating different performance styles into their songs, including drums, tap dancing and pole dancing.

However, Pledis history of mismanaging girl groups began here as their concept of having "admissions and graduations" to allow members to join or leave in a natural way did not give any stability to the group. Plus, members began getting involved in more individual activities, so by late 2010, there were already rumors of her possible "graduation" from AFTER SCHOOL.

She made her debut as a solo artist in February 2011 with the single album "Come Back, You Bad Person". Then, in July of that year, she joined sub-unit A.S. RED, formed after the fans voted. Together with the other sub-unit, A.S. BLUE, they released joint single albums. A.S RED included the singles "Hollywood" and "In The Night Sky".

But rumors proved to be true, and she left the group in June 2012 to focus on her career as a soloist and also as an actress.

In 2016, she married the CEO of Incase Korea, Yang Jun Mu. The couple have 2 children and used to live in both South Korea and Bali, Indonesia. However, due to her schedule, they have settled back in South Korea again.

In June 2021, she joined 4 other former AFTER SCHOOL members for a reunion in the SBS and online show "MMTG", performing two of their biggest hits, "Diva" and "Bang".

She is currently not represented by any agency.
