She made her theatrical debut in 1986 with a role in the stage play "Waiting for Godot", for which she received critical acclaim. In the early 1990s, she began expanding her career to movies and dramas, winning the 1991 Baeksang Arts Awards for Best New Actress. She is part of the Seoul Metropolitan Theater Company and remains active in the theater industry while also appearing in supporting roles in dramas.
