Before debuting, she appeared on TV as a contestant in season 1 of "The Voice of Korea", finishing inside the Top-8.
She made her debut in March 2013 as the group's main vocalist with their first mini-album, "Code#01".
On September 3, 2014, she was involved in a serious car accident when the group was returning to Seoul after attending the recording of KBS "Open Concert", causing the deaths of members Kwon Ri Se and EunB. The accident left her with severe injuries, but she was stabilized and released from the hospital 2 months later. The group's manager was found guilty of speeding and sentenced to one year and two months in prison. After an appeal, the sentence was commuted to two years on probation, 160 hours of community service and 40 hours of driving lessons.
They returned as a trio with a memorial concert in August 2015. Then, in May 2017, she made her debut as a solo artist with the single "Better Than Me".
Her contract with Polaris Entertainment (폴라리스엔터테인먼트) expired in February 2020 and she left the company. The group has not officially disbanded and is on an indefinite hiatus while the members pursue their solo careers.
She is now represented by Drama House Studio (드라마하우스스튜디오).
