She was scouted in Harajuku while studying at Jissen Women's University and she makes her debut as a gravure idol in 1990. Komatsu was also as the AV idol briefly in 1993.
Her acting skills were recognized in general works, and since 2003 she has been a regular appearance in the historical drama Ooku and has become a hot topic.
On December 2009, she married with a man eight years younger of an apparel company.
