There are still people wishing him happy birthday on his MDL page. So gross.
The worst kind of his fans are the ones that go out of their way to downplay the overall severity of what went on in that evil club. If defending your fave means you as a woman(because a lot of his fans are women, disappointingly) would be defending rape, drugging and other crimes, you're just as trash as your fave, if you still choose to do it.

I don't even know why they defend him. It's not like he would ever look their way. They are most likely too sober for him anyways.

I wondered why Seungri fans were hating on this show and decided to watch it, just because of them. Them hating it means it might actually be a good series right? It is a good series lol.
His fans are pathetic af. At least I can thank them for recommending this amazing series to me. I wish Seungri got 10 years and even more like the 'Victor' in this show.

The fact Seungri promoted burning sun to his fans disgusts me in ways that I cannot express.

Title A Taxi Driver Spoiler
The scene where the other taxi drivers came to help them when they were escaping, brought me to tears.

I didn't cry in other parts in the movie, but I broke down at that part.

And jaechan and seoham's age gap is even worse, because jaechan was still 19 while they were filming, and Seoham…
He was born in December. So during filming he was not yet 20 (I wrote his age as 18 before) I'm not good at math.
He was 19 when filming began.

They have an almost 10 year age gap, but people conveniently ignore it.

Unsatisfactory and not as interesting as the first part. I think I expected more. I don't know what the more is, but the more was not present in the second half.

The acting was phenomenal, nonetheless.

Seoham and jaechan of semantic error are in the same situation of geonu and mew in terms of age gap yet they are…
And jaechan and seoham's age gap is even worse, because jaechan was still 19 while they were filming, and Seoham was 27.

So, if any person has issues with the age gap here, and they fawn over the semantic error coupling, they are extreme hypocrites

Stop playing the victim
I live in an African country. I am African.

That scene was blatantly racist.

I have never stepped foot in the US, so I don't know why you're bringing up an unrelated country.

Im not african so idk how you felt about it, but in my opinion it was because Africa is known for its beautiful…
You said I have so much criticism, but it's just ONE criticism.

I voiced my discomfort with ONE thing, nothing more.

You don't get to choose how I react to racism. The cast and crew of Kokdu didn't show me or my people respect with that racist line, so I don't even owe them respect either in the first place. I don't have to be the bigger person.

I didn't even say anything incorrect. People aren't watching that series all that much in Korea. Its current ratings exist publicly. It is hard carried by its international fans.

So, which attitude am I giving, that deflects so much from the valid issue I'm pointing out, which is a line existing that mention "cheetahs and drinking water with hippos"?

Does my "attitude " stand out so much that it overshadows the racism the show exhibited? You choosing to focus on my attitude, more than the racism, baffles me.

Familiar how? If you scroll down the comments, you'll see positive comments I made about the drama. I have been following up on it and sending words of support to the cast and crew on other social media platforms too, as encouragement, since what happened during filming.

But the one time I voice out my opinion as an offended African, my account seems familiar to as a hate account? Make it make sense. I have spread nothing but love to this kdrama so far, but if something is wrong, I'll point it out. Not every comment of criticism is hate.

I have never in my life as a African seen a cheetah or hippo before . The generalization of Africa as poverty stricken gets exhausting to see, especially as an African living in Africa.

So many other continents and countries have their urban and rural areas, but depiction of my continent and the countries within it in media is really backwards, ignorant and borderline racist.

Some of the oldest institutions of learning in the world have been discovered in African countries.

I finished my schooling from daycare to uni in an African country, so the ignorance from the cast and crew of Kokdu, is disappointing to see. I have been watching it till now, but I'll drop it, just as I dropped "Sh**ting Stars" last year.

My continent doesn't exist for their ridicule.

Is it difficult for kdramas to not mention Africa in their scripts? Like leave us alone. If mentioning us is only relevant in racist contexts, we don't want it.

Is their racism forcing itself to jump out that much?

Was that racist comment really necessary to the plot? No one in Korea is watching this confusing show, and the few international people that are giving your show a chance, you just had to be racist towards them.

The plot is not plotting.

Person Yoo Teo
ah-ha so he has stayed abroad for more than half of his life, no wonder his accent is so American in that one…
He grew up in Germany, not in the US. He speaks German fluently too.
