Tbh, they swept Mo Jingli under the rug for half the drama. He had potential to be "love to hate" type of villain, but they didn't give him much screen time.

I watched that whole drama, it was overrated af. For ginormous red flag you can't fix fans only. And romance was barely existing until very late episodes.

Villains here are one of the most disappointing aspects in general.

Which episode you at? There was one scene where ML vomited blood out of nowhere just cuz he was stressed.

Only if there are no other candidates and even then they may not want to - they look like they just want to live a quiet, peaceful life.

My family members watching this drama dubbed FL’s uncle “Aramis” for his musketeer moustache and being the ladies man, lol.

Well, at least she’s capable of it, not a completely one-dimensional villain.

It’s not just the kisses, it’s their romance in general here.

The Double is very overrated. Over the top, blood pressure raising misogyny for the lulz of it, very annoying tropey scheming of cartoonishly evil villains. I at first thought it was some sort of satire, but they were actually taking it seriously. Watch only if you’re ML actor’s fan, or want something akin to Coroner’s Diary and Blossom. But intelligence of the plot and dialogues in those dramas is levels below U:J and Mo Li.

Yea, this particular thing is common in cdramas, just close your eyes on it.

Paper windows and doors in cdramas are either unbreakable or fall from one kick depending on the plot requirements.

For now, but ML really gotta get his sht together and be really good to her from now on, no more relapse triggering fkups.

Another mention was from the emperor when they were talking about his grey hair - he was not in his 30s yet. Looking at their age difference in the flashbacks and his rank in the army I'm guessing he's around 28.

FL is around 21-22. ML is less than 30, but def quite older than her.

Those Lishan mountain arc episodes alone should probably net her all the yearly awards. Bai Lu hard carrying yet another drama.

Then they'd better simply cancel this season. FL carried this drama to popularity, nobody's gonna watch it with recast or different set of characters. Youku platform's presentation stated they want to focus on quality with their announced second seasons and are aware of potential risks if the leads won't return. If they're smart, they shouldn't even be wasting money on S2 with cast changes.

I'm watching several other dramas from my back log, but I keep coming back to this one. Quality's just on another level, one of the best dramas this year. So many overhyped dramas with ~9 scores on MDL and they're total trash compared plot wise, tbh. Most of the audience seems to get easily captivated by shallow, visually striking dramas with pretty faces. Can't trust scores here at all.

I'd tell you, but it's better you figure it out yourself - FL is a dire mix of things here.
