Agree. And about the edict hidden under the blanket and then in FL's hands - it's no just this isolated case. The drama has a general problem of weird abrupt editing and skipping important scenes that should not be skipped. One'd think it's because of densly packed plot, but when you see other scenes being snail paced where nothing of particular importance happens, it just makes one think that overall plot pacing is off.

And also it has a problem of dropping some minor characters' names that you basically have no clue about only to extrapolate who the ef they were later, or not at all - you didn't remember that guy being mentioned in split second several episodes ago? Well, get confused again.

Did they shelve Ye Ying's character already? She hasn't been present much after SML's fakeout.

Man, I've just recently finished Legend of Zang Hai and compared to it Mo Li's villains are so fkn dumb, it's ridiculous really. It's like I'm watching some sort of cartoonish makjang, lol.

Script writers clearly got lost in the sauce here somewhere down the middle.

Agreed. I don’t even care for his face, he looks like he just woke up from hangover with eyebags and is always glaring at people no matter the situation.

I also think the romance is very mid here and these characters shine better on their own when they're doing their own stuff. Already thought of a few points as to why, but gotta see till the end to extrapolate in a review.
Out of all the romantic pairings here I got the best vibes so far from the Cangbei princess and the merchant guy, but this one looks to be in real peril atm.

Hating someone and wanting to become their wife are two different things, that are not necessarily mutually exclusive, especially if you have ulterior motives.

She wanted ML to take pity on her by reminescing on good old times and to be allowed to stay at his mansion with consideration of marrying her, I think. But FL quickly let her know that there's nothing to fish for here, lol.

Maybe it was the bish's plan to implicate her. She could be plotting to remove FL and become ML's wife. Or could be that SML wants to oust ML from interfering somehow by using FL's situation. Gotta wait and see.

Maybe a mistranslation, could be "involve" instead of implicate. But who knows.

There were teasers with her fighting alongside ML. Probably somewhere at the end of the drama.
