Well, it's too late to change anything now, the show's gonna end soon and lots of other things to cover besides romance sub-plot. This train has already left the station, so to speak.

What you describe here is old married couple behavior with the spark leaving out the window long ago. People want the whole package, not skipping the steps till the endgame.
I'm team ML there, lol. FL would have likely got executed and her father's name would not have been cleared. Too many witnesses who only heard she's gonna kill them all and no evidence if the villain's dead. ML was right to intervene.
It was forcibly taken from her. It's FL's father who is to blame and her family in general. But if ML is going…
Judging by the preview nobody knew that ML's brother agreed to give FL's mother the edict. They're talking as if she stole it or lied to him to get it for ulterior puropose. But in any case, you're right - getting angry at FL to a point of divorce, after all she did for him, and after all he promised her is just plain unreasonable. If they really gonna do that, immediately -1 point to the overall score from me.
Tbh, if they gonna get a divorce over this it's gonna be really dumb, especially with all that ML's talk about never ever separating.
In Jadewind both sides had their own truth and I could sympathize with both. And FL there had a very difficult character, it was in character she got angry and needed time to digest what happened and to realize she was in the wrong.
And it's not some unique thing, it's not a drama if there's no at least one angsty spat.
I don't think Ye Li's mother intentionally cheated them out of the edict, wasn't it stolen by her family anyways?…
It was forcibly taken from her. It's FL's father who is to blame and her family in general. But if ML is going to divorce FL over this it's bs. Means he was all talk when he promised not to leave her no matter what. Let's see how it goes.
How is it similar to Jadewind? The leads weren't married yet and one big fight was over completely different matter than here. More like the opposite, ML wanted to protect FL while she wanted revenge no matter the cost.
