I didn't like these Squid Games with cars in the last two episodes. Hopefully ML will finally escape.
And the villain is annoying af, I hate these unhinged trololo mfs who turn a serious drama into a cringe caricature circus. His background story about how he got hold of all of the country's CCTVs is facepalm worthy as well. Also, involving so many people in cover up operations is rather unrealistic, somebody's gonna squawk eventually, or leave some incriminating evidence, you can't carpet bribe everybody and expect nobody'd make a mistake. But whatever, seriousness of the plot went out the window already, I guess it's gonna be a brainless watch till the finish line now.

Then I def won't be watching. I must be the only person who was sooo disappointed in that show.
Just check it out, the first two introductory episodes are kinda all over the place, but then the plot starts rolling good.

I hate the fact that even after ML all that in the hospital, she decided to fk him up with that article. It's…
She felt really bad about that though, and even tried to contact his agency to warn them before hand. Job's a job though, you're right. But seems like ML got over it quickly, with relief actually. His mother may even benefit from it later on.

not feeling the second leads at all even brothers friendship is more interesting them them
Even ML's manager and the quirky script writer are more entertaining. I hope there won't be any dumb love triangles because of those two. And then there's that sus ML's ex, giving all sorts of bad vibes. All the actors chosen are top notch though, love all of them.

Exactly, there's no weird stuff here. It was really off putting in that other drama.

And yea, FL is great here. She's a versatile actress and her facial expressions are top notch when portraying FL character here, she's a rather complicated one.
ML is playing a drama queen here, he's ok too. I'm just struggling with the age gap and his childishness.

It's not like that drama. That drama was trash, this one's better. For now.

ML's ex is gonna be in the next season of his detective drama, right? The bish is blocking him from all sides again, it seems. And why now? Just because they've crossed paths again after so many yers?

This drama has a slow start. 4 episodes is a minimum you gotta watch to understand where this is going. Then it really starts rolling.

So did the red thread bring her back to life? Are they connected through the red threadVery philosophical
Or naive "Disney" bs, depends on how you look at it.

I still think ML looks a bit too old but the main couple is so chaotic, it is entertaining.
Yea, ML being too old for this role and not having that typical ML aura is rather distracting. But I'm willing to close my on this if the plot's gonna be good and funny.

Yea, ok, the first two episodes were kinda all over the place, but the last one was pretty good. I hope good things will continue with this plot.

No intrigue? You don't see the intrigue? I'm really confused.
I mean there's no intrigue whether FL is ML's wife - she is, she just fell into a river and lost her memory. She has the same voice and face down to a freckle, but ML is confused like she's a masked Batman or smth. Dragging this out for 12 episodes doesn't sound like an appealing watch, if that's what they're going for. ML should already be investigating where she came from, who found her and what they know, instead of asking a thousand stupid questions trying to jog her memory or whatever.
There's also no intrigue who's the main villain or what his plans are - it's as usual some shady minister with all the power in court who wants to use ML as a sperm donor to get a puppet grandson he could rule through. He was also the one who invented that whole plot against FL and SML to depose them.
So what else is left? Body swap? I'm not sure this drama even needs it, but let's see how it goes. But it sounds like it was a very boring cliche plot and writers didn't know what else to do to liven things up but insert some fantasy into it.

Can anyone explain what family the crown princess comes from before she lost her memories? I'm sure she's the…
Haven't you seen the subplot about a woman's who's husband died and his relatives wanted her to die? She's not part of her father's family anymore after marriage, them's were the rules back then. He can't take her back. So they could still be mourning her somewhere back in the country, but nobody cares.
Also, they're likely just not relevant to the plot and looks like not even part of the court. Though I'm curious how the prince was even allowed to marry her if she wasn't approved by the court and they've invented this for whole plot to depose her.

Uh, I really wanted to, but I'm not feeling it. This drama's too dumb for me, I guess. There's barely any intrigue, chemistry is meh, lots of empty talk and few useless characters eating away at the screen time. I also think FL actress was miscast here, there's a certain type that looks good in saeguks, and she ain't it. Even though I do like her in contemporary dramas.

The laziest part was the ventilation duct that connected prison blocks to the visitors’ area. And of course being of that specific large size, which you can only encounter in cinema.

Uh, where are they going with these Hunger games or whatever it is at the end of episode 4? Tbh, I was looking forward to ML escaping and starting to plot revenge. It’s rather tiresome to see his continual suffering in that crazy caricature of a jail. The main villain is also tiresome - yet another one of those unhinged delulu chaebols with infinite power and money. What a beaten to death cliche, and actor’s performance is so cringe. 🤮

It's also not Alchemy of Souls. All saeguks with fantasy elements followed historical common tropes. Don't expect anything different here.

The usual power struggle and corruption in court. For example, the old queen who's alive doesn't like the left minister, as he's from another family clan. Historically the real power in court was held by powerful family clans, who through nepotism assigned their relatives all the juicy state positions. They all perpetually plot and try to undermine each other, it's all very boring, really. I hope they're not gonna focus on this in this drama though, it's been beaten to death in almost every historical kdrama out there.
