He does it over and over again and I think the reason why mjty was actually not that terribly received locally was the fact that there was no plagiarism found in his work for the first time lmfao (but ofc it came back again with fof and everything got effed up for the billionth time)
was watching avx's review of Blossom and I found it interesting and pretty logical that she thought this director does sort of always control the narrative in the dramas he directs. He seems to care for the overall quality of what he puts out (not just the visuals) and if fame doesn't get to him, I can assume zhu yu has a higher chance of having a decent storytelling even if the scriptwriter's track record is somewhat mediocre. Blossom's wasn't good either but it ended up being a really nice show, probably because zqj knows how to make his shows engaging enough through his lense.
This isn't a masterpiece but the mere fact that there is (still) no irrelevant dooky ahh palace politics with terrible writing makes it times and times better than so many other similar saguk dramas (and btw lady ok is the karl marx of joseon dynasty I love her for that)

kdramaland was actually starting to become serious and legit, talented scriptwriters who were well educated and had good vision were starting to work on kdramas but producers really digged their own grave and degraded back to the late 2000s when they decided adapting fanfic-esque manhwas and web novels was a much better and more profitable idea...kdramas get more views now but at the cost of all the beautiful and thought provoking social commentary getting ditched for crappy romcoms and webtoon makjang lol
