also, why does some comment states fl is unbearable? i like her character. it’s perfect. she isn’t annoying.

why are the parents so arrogant and selfish? first they abandoned their own child and then came back as if they did nothing wrong.
also, i am really liking the ml in this. in the og, he was too aloof and expressionless but here it’s quite different.

Ep 1 was so wholesome. Wish there were more childhood scenes. So far i am loving it!

In the original one, the SML didn’t fell in love with FL. He just wanted to have a family, so he thought falling in love with FL will make them a real family. So you can see, it was just a thought rather than really falling in love. They later became real siblings.

this drama so good. i really enjoyed watching it. it had a HE but still i cried when it got over, maybe because i didn’t want it to end. after tteotm, this is the second drama that i eagerly watched. i didn’t skip or fast forwarded any part, or didn’t even drop or put on hold in midway (which i do with most Chinese historical drama). it was perfect in every sense with good amount of everything (revenge, mystery, comedy, romance).

can someone recommend me similar kind of drama?
ps- i am into romance genre but even if the leads had a good chemistry or slow burn romance, it works for me (just like this one).

looks like i have to see it myself by watching few episodes. i don’t mind as long as the acting is good.

After reading the comments, i have mixed feelings whether to watch it or not. Is it nice?

i am currently watching it. I am not a big of historical drama but this one is so good. i started it 2 days ago and have already finished half of it. trust me, watch it! you won’t regret it. leads chemistry is so good. also, fl is so clever, i really like her character.

the stepmother was clearly far away from jiang li. then why did she and others blamed her? does the stepmother and the maids lied so that they can send her away?
also, what happens to the stepmother in the series? fine with the spoiler.

which is on spot no. 1?

the drama was going fine but the second part of the last episode was meh.. they love eo and after all that shit they are going to get married then why ruin it by adding an unnecessary plot that the fl is busy with her work so much that she cannot be their physically and emotionally to prepare for her wedding. this is not the first time that I have seen this. it irritates me and takes the fun out of the drama.
for me, the second couple carried the show. though they had less screen time, I could solely complete this drama because of them. main couple was okay but it was a wasted potential for me. also, fl overdid the expressions.

same, a 7.5 for me.

i was waiting for a long time to watch this. but I have seen most of the scenes on yt shorts. uh! i should have watched this ongoing.
