And yes, I’m also a fan of both AugustTle, and I’ll still be watching this series.
The finale will likely be around 1 to 1.5 hours. Plenty of Hollywood and Western movies introduce the characters, build the relationships, have action, complete the revenge, defeat the villain, and even show the characters getting married, starting a family, and living happily ever after, all within a 90 minute to 2 hour movie.
We’ve already spent almost the entire series developing Jay and Sun’s relationship. The romance has been established, so the finale doesn’t need to spend much more time on that. It can focus mainly on resolving the revenge plot and giving us a satisfying ending.
Longer doesn’t automatically mean better. Good pacing and strong storytelling matter more than runtime. A well written 90 minute story can feel far more complete than a stretched out three hour one.
To me, it’s like fine dining. You get smaller portions, but every bite is satisfying. An all you can eat buffet gives you a lot more food, but you don’t always leave feeling as satisfied.
That’s just my logic.
This show is so naughty 😈 I’m loving it 🥰
A lot of Hollywood movies are only 90 minutes to 2 hours long and still manage to fit everything into the story. I think a runtime of over an hour should be enough to cover the revenge plot.
That’s just my opinion though.
Does anyone know if this is a sequel or a collection of special episodes? I’m so excited!
Has anyone else noticed this on GagaOOLala?
In the hospital scene next week, Jay wasn’t only hurting because Sun was injured and almost lost his life. The deepest pain came from knowing that Sun didn’t want to keep living.
Episode 8 revealed that when Sun acted out the script about jumping from the building to end his life, it reflected the same pain Jay understood all too well. It mirrored the same thoughts and emotions Sun carried when he saved Sky.
Sun had already lost his mother. He had lost his brother. He spent years carrying the burden of his debts and fighting just to survive. He worked hard, kept everything locked inside, never allowing himself to truly smile and never giving himself permission to cry.
Sometimes, after losing so much, disappearing can feel easier than staying and risking more pain.
But when Sun saved Sky, he wasn’t just saving another person. He was saving a part of himself that had already given up. He saw someone who needed a reason to live, and through saving him, he slowly found a reason to keep living too.
They released the first three episodes on the premiere date, then one episode a week for two weeks, followed by two episodes a week for another two weeks. Now they’re back to releasing just one episode a week.
Episode 9: 31 July
Episode 10: 7 August
Episode 11: 14 August
Episode 12: 21 August
Payback and Deep In both finish this week, so we’ll have almost nothing left to watch. One episode a week just isn’t enough :(
Don't worry, justice will be served in 5.5 days.
Make sure you watch the post credit scene. It will absolutely melt your heart.
