Let’s hope this is just the beginning and that one day we’ll get a full 16 episode, one hour per episode BL with the same production quality as the K dramas on Netflix.
Even more exciting, The Prosecutor's Proposal has entered the Top 10 Korean drama reputation rankings across TV and streaming in Korea.
This is the first time since Semantic Error, which reached No. 1 during its run, that a BL has broken into the rankings and gone head to head with major mainstream K dramas.
This is a huge moment for Korean BL, and I hope it’s a sign of what’s to come.
This has set a new standard for Korean BL. I can’t wait to see more like this.
There are still two episodes left, so it's not over yet. Let's see if the ending changes your view of the series.
You mentioned the first NC scene felt random, but I don’t think it was meant to be romantic. If the writers wanted a romantic scene, they would have built up sexual tension first. Instead, they deliberately placed it in the middle of an emotional confrontation.
Normally, in that situation you’d expect shouting, violence, or for him to abuse his authority as Chae Ha’s boss. Instead, the confrontation turned into a forced kiss. That made the scene disturbing rather than romantic. It wasn’t a kiss born from love. It was driven by anger, grief, obsession, guilt, and years of unresolved emotions. That’s exactly why it felt so shocking.
I also don’t think the characters were acting irrationally just to move the plot forward. People dealing with trauma and obsession rarely make logical decisions. If every character behaved rationally, there wouldn’t be much of a psychological drama.
It’s completely fine if it wasn’t your cup of tea. Stories like this are always going to divide audiences because they’re meant to make you feel uncomfortable, not give you the warm, fluffy romance we’re used to seeing in most BLs.
At the end of the day, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
Also, in episode 9, Zhen Xin said, “The show is fake. You and I are real.”
How can there be 4 characters? I’m so lost haha.
I loved the flashback showing how they met as kids.
However, I think the mother was wrong.
If your little boy genuinely loves dressing in girls’ clothes and enjoys wearing dresses, you should support him.
But if you want a daughter, you can’t force your son to dress like a girl. He didn’t want to speak up, but just because he stayed quiet doesn’t mean she couldn’t see it from his facial expressions or the way he reacted. She should have asked him first if he actually wanted to dress that way, rather than doing it because she thought he looked cute.
He’s being verbally bullied by other children because of it. The mother’s actions are hurting him emotionally and could have a lasting impact.
Only 3 days, 3 hours, and 52 minutes to go. Hurry up! I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for Episode 9.
I also need Sunny to suffer, and that old manager who molested the young artist deserves to be arrested and sent to jail.
What an absolutely wild and mind-blowing plot twist! I’m so excited to see how this all unfolds with only three episodes left!
